2001-11-26MOUND CITY COUNCIL MINUTES NOVEMBER 26, 2001 The City Council of the City of Mound, Hennepin County, Minnesota, met in special session on Monday, November 26, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers at 534'1 Maywood Road in said City. Councilmembers Present: Mayor Pat Meisel; Councilmembers Bob Brown, Mark Hanus, Kim Anderson and Peter Meyer. Others Present: City Manager, Kandis Hanson; Acting City Clerk, Bonnie Ritter; Finance Director, Gino Businaro; Public Works Superintendent, Greg Skinner; Parks Director, Jim Fackler; Community Development Director, Sarah Smith; Liquor Store Manager, Joel Krumm; Police Chief, Len Harrell; Fire Chief, Greg Pederson. The meeting was called to order at 7:07 p.m. by Mayor Meisel. 2002 BUDGET WORKSHOP Hanus indicated this was one of the toughest budgets that he has faced. He indicated no other solution than to levy the maximum. He is opposed to using the dock fund to supplement the general fund, and favors redistribution of the Admin!Computer fees as presented by Businaro. Brown and Meisel tended to agree with this solution. Meyer suggested eliminating the weed spraying budget and using a portion of these funds to donate to the Sr. Citizens, with the balance going towards financing of lifeguards. ADJOURN MOTION by Brown, seconded by Hanus to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 p.m. All voted in favor. Motion carried. Attest: Acting City Clerk Mayor Pat Meisel
