Responding to Roll-Call were ~viayor W. C. Huestis, Trustees Tuff,
7flnke! and Ferrall, with Alwln as Recorder.
Yayor Huestls presented the purpose of the meeting by calling for
a report from the Committee on Water Main Extensions. Trustee
C. L. Tuff, chairman, presented~a favorable committee reoort
which prooOsed that the committee was ready to oresent a resolution
authorizing the extension petittone~ for along Plummer and Chase
Avenues, and, also, to comolete a loooing of the system by means
of a six inch main extension ~ast, down the "~hort~Cut'' to Norwood
Ave, down Norwood to County Road No. 7, ~est down County No. 7 to
the ~ain terminus at the Juncture with County Road No. 125.
~'urther, that the committee was agreed that a hearing should be advertised
covering this work.
At this point !fayor Huestis suggested that, before c~!linM for s
hearln~ on the project, the council first take steos to verify
the ownership of ~ffected frontage elong the proposed Plummer and
Chase f~venues extension and to determine t~e distances covered,
the materials needed, ~n8 the estimated co~t of all o~' the water
main improvement work under cons~.derstion.
It was thereupon moved by Trustee ~VinkeI That ~:~uoerlntendent
(>eo. R. Cole be authorized to prepare such s reoorz, ot' distances,
materials and costs, the same to be pre=ented to the council at
its next regular post-election meeting on Dec. 7th, 1939. Apoended
to this motion was also the authorization to the cleric to veri~'y
the Plummer and Chase Avenues frontage ownership from the recorms
o~ the County Auditor. This molion was suooorted b~ Trustee Tufe
the council concurring.
