The purpose of this meeting was to give a hearing on the assessment
roll covering the Plummer Avenue Water ~ain Extension and to receive
bids on the removal and relocation of theS~ound Village Park Toilet.
Responding to roll call were ~A~syor Louise Huestis, Trustees Jones,
Rondorf, and Inman, with Alwtn as Clerk-Recorder.
Trustee Inman moved that the Council approve the ~gayor's appointment
of Lester ~charmann as Building_ Inspector for the current year.
This motion was supported by Trustee Rondorf, ~he council agreeing.
On the ~ayor's suggestion, and by the approval of the council, the
clerk was authorized to give notice to the public of the need of
stricter local building code enforcement, especially with respect
to the issuance of Building Permits.
On the basis of specifications on file in the Clerk's Office, the
following bids were presented and read before the council: The
bids covere~ the removal and structural work in connection with the
relocation of the Park ToiIet:

Trustee Rondorf moved that the bid be awarded to G. A. Tyler for
the s~m of $495.60. Alwln seconded this motion, the council agreeing.
On a motion by Trustee Inman, tbs council authorised the purchase
of 200 feet of lead alloy pipe for water service connections. This
motion w~s seconded by Jones, the co~ncll concurring. Trustee
~ondorf agreed to do the buying.
The clerk having presented the assessment roll of the Plummet Ave.,
water main extension for public examination and approval, and there
being no one present to contest the spread or to petition for changes,
Trustee JOnes presented the following resolution and moved its adoption:
Due notice having been given in accordance with ~ec. 7, Chapter
425 G. S. I921, to all persons interested of a hearing on a propose~
assessment to be specially assessed against all lots, pieces or
parcels of land benefitted by that certain proposed extension of
water mains on Plummer Avenue between Bryant Avenue ~nd Chase Avenue
in the Village of ~ound, known as water main extension No. 7, and
wherein the Village Clerk and the engineer have calculated the proper $~
amount to be specially assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of Iand
which proposed assessment has heretofore been filed in the office
of the Clerk of said ~?illage for public inspection, and has been duly
examined and considered by the council and has been found to be
reasonable and fair, and said hearing having been held in accordance
with said notice in the council room in said village on the 24th day
of ~oril, 1942, at 8 o'clock p. m. and no one having appeared to object
to ssld proposed assessment, now therefore it is hereby resolved that
said proposed assessment be and it hereby in confirmed and adopted.
And be it further resolved that said assessment shall be levied
against and shall be a lien on the property' described therein, upon
each separate lot, piece or parcel of land in the_ amount set out ~n
each instance, and all there6f, which lien sball be concurPent with

the general taxes assessed against maid properties, ~nd shall be oeId
tn ecusl annual in~tel].ment~ over a period of twenty years, with
~ntere~t at the rate of 6? per annum on all deferred ~ments, the
v~yment of the flr~.t in,~tallment being due -~nd p~ysble on the 1st day
of June, 1943, ~nd be it further resolved that a certified dupllcete
co~, of ,~ld a~ses~ment shall be trsn~mltted by the village clerk
~nd certified to the County ~'~uditor of Henneptn ~]ounty, Vtnnesota,
to be extended on the proDer tax lists, to be collected, accounted for
and ~ald over in 'the same manner as other municipal taxes.
Trustee ~ondorf seconding the motion for the adoption of the above
resolution, the vote of the council ~tood unanimous.
