~INUTE$ OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR I\{E~TING OF THE ~_OUND VILLAGE COUNCIL

The purpose of this meeting was to consum--s~te action on pump bids
submitted and read at the Regular ~!eeting of June 2nd and to make
a dlclsion with reference to further action on the Plummer Avenue
Tater %Cain Extension. Responding to roll-call were .~.{ayor Louise
Huestls, Trustees Rondorf and Inman, with Alwin as Rec:order.
Trustee Jones was absent from the meeting.
On a motion by alwin, Trustee Inman supporting, Attorney N. E. Pardee
was authorized to interview the Industrial Contrasting Company for
the purpose of finding out ander what conditions they would be willing
to withdraw from the Plummet Avenue ~{ain Extension Contract. This
was unanimously concurred in by the council.
O. C. Nelson of Fairbanks ~orse & Co. was given a hearing to review his
bid of June 2nd, inst., with an attempt to adjust his bid in the light
of additional facts. No. action was taken.
J. N. Allen of the ~=~ound On ~.ale Liquor ~tore was given a hearing to
petition the eouncil for an awning and an electrically powered ventil-
ator for the On Ssle Store at Seton. The matter was tabled for later
co nsiderat ion.
After a hearing given to Willard Johnson of the Peerless Pump Division,
· and in view of the fact that the low bid of Fairbanks ~orse & Co. was
Irreg'ular, o~t of order, and without sufficient information, Alwin
moved that the contract ~er~'s~$~ing a deep well t~rbine pump to the
village,according to the specifications as ~dvertised,be awarded to
the Peerless Pump Division. This motion was seconded by Trustee
Rondorf, the rest of the council concurring.
Trustee R. J. Rondorf made a motion to raise the salary of John C.
~tein from $110.00 to $120.00 per month, the same to be effec, tive as
of ~aNe 1st, 1942.
On a motion by Trustee Inman, Alwin supporting, the council authorized
the charge of $1.50 per hour, or every fraction thereof, for the pump-
ing of water from basements with village equipment.
Trustee R. J. Rondorf moved that the Clerk be authorized to advertise
for bids on 25 or more straight connection water meters. Trustee
Inman supported this motion, the council agreeing.
With reference to Units "D" and "G" and other newly platted portions
of the Shirley Hills District of ~found, Trustee Rondorf moved that the
clerk correspond with E. C. Streater for the purpose of bringing the
village files to date with blue prints of all newly platted sectlo, ns
of the village. Alwin seconded this motion, the council agreeing.
Through a motion by Alwin, !~rustee Rondorf supporting, the council
authorized ~ayor Louise Huestis to attend the ~innesota League of
· ~unlcipallties Convention at ~ly, ~innesota, on June 15, 16, & 17,
/.as a d~legate from the Village of ~ound, and that she be allowed an
expense account of $50.00 for the purpose.
