August 14, 1942.
The purpose of this meeting was to present a hearing on the adjust-
ment of the assessment coveringthe Plummet Avenue Water ~ain Exten-
sion, ldentif, ied as Project No. 7. RespondiNg to roll ca~l were ~,~ayor

as Recorder. Trustee Evan Jones was Absent.
The meeting opened with %he giving of a hearing to. a delegation re-
~presenting the School ~oard of Consolidated ~!chool District ~o. 85
and in the Oersons of ~uperin~endent L. L. Krantz and ?chool olerk
L. C. Dodds, who came' to solicit the ~Id of the village in the lowering
of s knoll located Wes% of 6,he angle of Dewey Avenue and ~rion Place
and on the North ~ast Cmorner of the school's newly acculred tract
originally described as commencing at a point 183 ft ~est from NE

to the b~V corner of Lot 21 Ly~old Park, thence North on the We~t
line of said Lot 21, extended to s point 225 ft. ~. From North line

~e Drooosltion being that the village donate the use of the Village
grader until the completion of the work. ~uch donation to be estimated
on the basis of $2.50 ocr hour. On a motion by Rondorf, I~an supporti~,
the Council agreed to make the above donation.
By general agreement an~ without motion, the council authorized the cl~rk~
to call for an estimate, from some near, cuaIifled, and resoonsible conce~,
covering the descaling, repair, s.nU. painting of the Village '~ater Tower.
~uch estimate to be prepared and presented to the council st its next
Regular Meeting on Tuesday, ~!!ept. Ist, 1942.
The ceRe~kl also was authorized to write to Superintendent L. L. Krantz
for a settlement of the account in connection with the use of unmetered
water on the school grounds.
The purpose of the meeting being to present a hearing for all and sundry
complaints and prooosed changes and adjustments in connection with the
revised assessment covering the Plummet Avenue Water Main Extension,
i. e., Project No. ?, and there being no one present to make a complaint
or ask for an adjustment, Trustee Rondorf presented the following resolu-
tion and moved its adoption, to wit:
WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the ~ound Village Council held
in the Council Room on the 4th day of August, 1942, at 8 o'clock P. M.,
a resoIution was duly passed authorizing and directing the Village Clerk
and engineer to rectify certain errors and to correcl certain o~issions
in the original assessment of lots on Plummer Avenue, assessing them
for the purpose of paying for the extension of water mains on said
avenue and directing that notice of said proposed corrections be given
to ali persons interested by p~blish~d notice in the ~i~netonka Pilot,
and that an adjourned meeting of the council be held on the I4th day
of August, 1942, at 8 o'clock P. M. for the purpose of hearing any
ob3ectlons to the proposed corrections; and

and no one apoeered to make obJectt&n to the corrections and to the
Prooo~ed ~upolimentsl assessment,
It is hereby resolved that said corrections and said supplimental
asse~smen~ be and hereby are confirmed and accepted, and that a
certified copy of said corrected ~ssessment be transmitted by the
Village Clerk and certified to the County Auditor, Mennepin County,
~,,[inneso~a, to be extended upon the proposed tax receipt~ to be collected
and' accounted for and paid over in the ~ame manner as other municipal
that said corrected assessment should be levied against and ~hOuld be
a lien upon the property described therein on e~ch ~epernr~ lot, plec®e
or parcel of land in the amount ~et out in each in=~ence ~nd shall
constitute a lien concurrent with the general taxes to be ~.s~e~ed ~gelnst
said properS, les and to be p~i~ in 18 eoual annual installments over a
period of nineteen years with interest ~,t the rate of 8% per annum on
all deferred payments, first installment being due ~_nd p~y~ble on the ~t
day of June, 1943.
Alwin secondiog the motion for the adoption of the above resolution,
the vote of the council stood unanimous. And so,the resolution stood
adopted.
This concluding the business of the evening, the meeting adjourned.
