Present fox roll-call at th~s mee%in~ were Mayor Louise Huestis, Trustees NeWcomb, Broeckert, and mon~orf, with Alwin recordin~. Present, aliso, for specific purposes, were Shelden Belse, Master of tbs local Boy Scouts, and Arthur ~olmquist, Custodian of Mound Union Cometary. ' Minutes of {the megular Meetings of May 8th and 15th, 1945, having been ead and a~:~roved, a hearing was given to ~helde~ Boise wttb o the provlsien and care~and Iocati~n of lockers at the village ~ark pavlli~n, same to he, facility In ~nnectlon w~th ~l~i~ and other atheistic activities within the ~ark. mr. ~eise~also urged ~ the ne~cess[ty for developing a park baseball dl~ond. By ~eneral assent of the council and without f~ther motion, Mr Boles was aut~r- Izod to pro~eed aloE~ the lines of his proposed pro,ram, Oox B~8. o~ Spri~ Pa~, havi~ graded and leveled the ~developed portia of Mo~d Union Cemetery at a cost of ~74.75, ~th~ Holmquist, custod- ian of the Cemetery, presented a plat s~wi~ the new development in unplatted secti~ns, and proposed t~t the new break be prepared~ into a see~ed for grass and that the sections delineated be ~inged with sod. On a motion by Newcomb, ~ondorf supporting, the co,~cil voiced itself as ~willl~ to s~end any further meney on the cemetery. ~r. Neweomb, tn, his motlen, did s~gest, ~wever, that, with a ~all add- itional outlay, ~r. Helmquist might have the new break ~ag~ed ~d seeded with~ grass. alwin mo.red,that the application for a buil~ pe~it of Houghton Smith, previously delayed te permit lnvestiga%ion, be approved. Trustee Ren4orf seconded this motion, the co~cll agreeing. After discussion, it was moved by ~rustee Newcomb that the clerk be authorized to ~rlte to the Board of Uounty ue~lssioners for %he p~Dose of ~~t~~aei~ e~ ~ate. aid ~a~ mo. 15 and Uounty ~tg~ay No.. within the limits of ihs village of me~d. mon~rf u~held this motion, the co~cil a~reeing. A financial ~report ~avin~ been presented and read by Areas m. N. Oohneon, tt was annrOved an~~ by the council on the motion of a/win, ~roeckert s~portl~. ~y general assent, the council also approved a report from the mound Municipal ~lquor Store ceverin~ sales~and expenditures for the month of May, 19'45. B'y ~eneral ~greement, and without motion, the clerk was authorized to communicate ~Ith the ~ureau of Municipal Projects, a subdivision ef the ~ederal {,ox-ks Agency, -ashlngton, D. C., for the puruose of ~e%tlng a F~a~ grant in the development of a local sewer system and a sewage disnosal plant. Mayo~ Huestt{s reported briefly on the ~ro~edures and uossibtllties of gettin~ natural gas service for this village. ~ls~ on a p~oposed survey o.f this village by a ~r. Jones, Municipal ~evelopments authority, as a ste~ toward general ~unicipal improvement. ,Ith the single exception of a bill from the ,ater~us Company, S~.
