MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MOUND VILLAGE COUNCIL HELD
July ~r4, 19,45
Present at this meeting were mayer Louise Muestle, Trustees Newcomb
and i~ondorf, with Alwln recording. Trustee Broecker% was absent
for business reasons. Present also. at this meeting, and representing
the Mou~d Civic Club, was Loren C. Bo6ds.
The minutes of the regular meeting of June 5th and of the adJourneE
regular meeting of ~une 20th, Ig45, having been read and approved,
mayor H~estis reporte~ her at~endence at a meeting of the ~enne~in
County League of Municipalities recentl~ held at ~ee~haven, and-the
leagu~reaction to the village of Moun~ s lack of membership and
attendence. She proposed that the village Join this League and
make preparations to intertain it sometime this ~'aI1. In response
to this Trustee Newcomb moved that the village take stems to acquire a
m~mbershlp in the nennepln ~County League of Municlpalit~es and that
the clerk be' authorized to draw a village warrant in the sum of
~5.00 to c~ver the membership fee. HonOorf supported this motion,
ihs council agreeing.
*Ivena ~hearing, Loren Dodds questioned the. council with reference
to,liability for happenings at the Mound Village park, inasmuch as
the Civic Club was given implied sup~rvisiom, the questionaire ended
with assurance to Dodds that the village held full public liability
insurance coverage with reference ta the park, as well as any other p.a~
of the village, and that the C{vic Club, as such, could net be held
liable for village park hazards.
By the general assent of the council, the following Off, and On Sale
~eer Liqenses were approved and ordered issued:
Beth and Archie ~urdock, with place of business located on Lot
22, Subdiv. of Lots 1-32, Ravenswood, adjoining j. S. Carlson's
store.
Darmell ~avid, located on Lot 2, Auditor's Subdiv. ~167 and
known aa Northland Cafe.'

By the same act of the council, the following Soft Drink licenses
were authorized~ such issuance to be contingent upon the payment to
the clerk ef th~ license fee of $t.00:
Beth & Archie Murdeck~,, Darrell ~avid, Peter Sollie, ~ost'$ Drug
Store, Ray Scott, Cecil Chapman.
Oy general agreement of the council, the clerk was authorized to
notif$ by letter, W. J. Whelan and G. A. Tyler with reference to
the needl of a ~uilding Permit in order to renovate old, or to con-
struct new buildings.
On a motion by Rond~rf, Newcemb supporting, the following bills were
a0proved and authorized to be paid:
