MINUTES O~ THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE MOUND VIL~G~ 00UNCIL HELD
August 7th, 1945.
Hes~ndln~. to roll call at this meeting were Mayor L~ise Huestls,
trusteesmeweomb and ~ondorf, with Alvin recording. ~rustee
~roecker% !was absent.
The minutes of the previous meetings read and aporeved, the council
gave its attention to C. E. Grant, attorney for Peter Sollie, who
pleaded the case of his client for a renewal of the latter's beer
licenses, ~hich, in conformance to State law, and en the recemmendatlan
of the local police for reasons of sanitation and for the maintenance
of th~ public ~eaee, were denied by the council at its regular
meeting of July 3rd, 1945. The ceunclI concluded the hearing
without official statement or commitment on the issues.
','he councllI gate its attention to Mrs. Richard P. Gale who asked
for some Statement from the council with referene, e to the villages

was tncll~ed toward a re~ptlo~ for the village, of practlse~ of
partictoa~lon as they had been followed in the past.
The counciil heard the Zoning Board, ~. H. A. Xoehler reoresentlng,
on revlsl~ns of the Zoning O~dinanee as prepared by attorneys
EdWin He~drtcks and Herman Olsen. ~ecause of the ~etail and sco.oe
of the material presented, the council authorized a review of the
matter at ian adjourned regular meeting to be held on ~riday,

The clerk Presenting the proposal ol~ the S~ate Bank of Mound to
be de~ignaEe~ a public depository, same to renew a relationship
authorized! two years ago,&such proposal being accompanied by the
bank"s declaration ef securities with reference to village
funds and ~otaX~ng in ~he sum of ~35,000.00, it was moved by
trustee NeWcomb that the council accept the banks proposal and
off'er of securities, and that the clerk ~e authorized to pre-
pare the suitable instruments to that effect. 'i~hls motion was
suoporte/~ by menderf~ the council agreeing.

Action on the applications of mrs Andrew Krause, Elber% W. Heyman,

by t~e council that all liquor store deposits in the otate ~ank of
Moun~ be aUthorized by the chairman of the Liquor Committee.
