MINUTES oF THE ADJOURNED .REGULAR MEETING OF THE MOUND VILLAGE COUNCIL

introduced the following resolution and ~oved its adoption:
i RESOLUTION VACATING A pART OF BRYANT AVENUE.
Be i~ resolved by the Village Couhcil of the Village of Mound,
Hennepin i County, MinnesSta, as follows:
Whereas Edwin A. Hendrlcks, owner of all the property fronting
on that part of Bryant Avenue lying East of the most Westerly corner
of Block Nine (9) "Abraham Lincoln's Addition to LakeSide Park, Mound,
of Mound, Hennepln County, Minnesota,
Min~eton~a" in the Village
has pet~ioned the Village. Council of the Village of Mound to vacate the
followi~i described land, to wit:
Thatl part of Bryant Avenue a~oining the South line of Block Nine
(9) "Abraham Lincoln Addition to Lakesi~ Park, Mound, Minne%onka",
lying Nor%h of~oa line running from the most Westerly corner of said
Block Nt~~ (9) to a point of intersection of the Southwesterly llne
of ~Lot T~Sn%Y~Three (23), Block Eleven (ll) of said Addition with the
South line of BlockmTwo (2), Rearrangement of Block Ten (10),"Abra. ham
Lincoln Addition to Lakeside Park, Mound, Minnetonka extended West,
Whereas publication of Notice of hearing of said petition was
duly m~de Intthe Pilot, an official newspaper published in the Village
of Mound and whereas three notices of hearing were duly posted in
the Village of Nou~d on the 14%h Day of November, 1947, and
~hereas Edwin A. Hendricks appeared in favor of said vacation
and no ~ne appearing in opposition thereto, and
Whereas it is deemed that it would be for the best interest of
the oublic that the above ~described part of Bryant Avenue be vacated,
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the Village Council of
the Village of Mound, Hennepin County, Minnesota, that the following
described par% of Bryant Avenue, a public street and highway in the
said Village of Mound, ~to wit:
That part of Bryant Avenue adjoining the South llne of Block
Nine (9) "Abraham Lincoln Addition to Lakeside Park, Mound~ Mtnnetonka",
lying North of a line running from the most Westerly corner of said
Plock Nine (9) to a point of intersection of the Southwesterly line
of Lot T~enty-Three (23), Block Eleven (ll) of said Addition with
the South llne o~ Block ~o (2), Rearrangement of Block Ten (10),
Abraham Eincoln Addition to Lakeside Park, Mound, Mlnnetonka" extended
West, be and the same is hereby vacated and abandomed as a part of
said Bryant Avenue.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Trustee Larry Hetu and upon vote being taken thereon, the

following voted in favor thereof, LeRoy V. Alvin, A. S:. Newcomb,
R. J. Rondorf, L~rry. Hetu, and Mayor Louise Huestis, and the following
voted against, None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly

A motion wes made by Rondorf, seconded by Hetu, that the council ~ccept
the bid of C&x Bros. for;.--$?O0.O0, it being the lowest bid in ~nswer
to an advertisement ~ppearing in the !,~'innetonka Pilot of Nov. 13th and
of Nov. 20th, 1947, for the removal of 1000 cubic yards, more or less,
of e~rth from the elley turntable in back of Lots 36 to 43, inclusive,
~nd Lot 51, in the village subdivision of Ravenswood, to Lot 55 of the
s~me subdivision, subject to the condition that the fronting property
owners sign a release of the village from ~ny damages that might resu~
by the removal of the fill from the above described property.
On roll-call vote, Yeas wera Alwin, Newcomb,Rondorf, Hetu, and Huestis,
Nays, None. And so the mOtfon'w~ unanimously carried. '~
Presenting a study of the insurance sltuatioh in respect to Village
Li0uor Store ~tocks, Newcomb moved to cancel out all co-insurance
oollcies covering lieuor stocks and to reolace them with adequate
straight insurance oollcies. Rondorf seconded this, tMe council
carrying.
Hetu moved that fluctuating liquor stocks be supplied with adequate
Insurance .coverage at all times. Newcomb suoported this motion, the
council agreeing.
This business done, 6he meeting adjourned.
