Post - $550., John b. ~aPlson-$52~. Winkel MOVED that both bids be rejected because they did not comply with tke specifications. Second by Bly. Carried. Bids for a tractor with a minimum o~ 20 h~rse power opened. Minar Company-Ford-S2425.50 less ~953.98 for jeep, net $1471.52 Long Lake Farm Supply $25_~0. less $1275 net $%265.00 Borchert-Ingersoll $26551 less $500. or $2155.00 net. MOTION by Winkel, second by Pierce that the bids be tabled. Carried. Citizens were present to protest sale of the Dark pavilion. Merits and demerite of the pavilion were discussed. Bly MOVED' VILLAGE OF MOUND 1247 Pierce seconded, that the council appoint George Eugster chairman of a committee to make recommendations concer~ing future action in regard to the par~ and the pavilion. Carried. Arthur P. Kane present to discuss with the council .the assessment of his property in Project ~8. Action left to attorney and manager. Claim of Mound Dry Goods Store for damage caused by water main break presented. Bly MOVED, Pierce seconded, that the claim of ~240.01 be paid. Carried. BLY offered RESOLUTION authorizing an audit of the liquor books for the years 1949 and 1950.~ ~econd by Pierce, Carried. Council would request recormmendation of auditors in regard to water dept. books. RESOLUTION offered by Bly, second by Pierce, author- i~ing manager to contact the Minnesota Highway Department concerning widening of temporary Trunk Highway #110 from the Great Northern Tracks north to the village limits. Carried. Bly offered a resolution approving League of Minn. Municipalities stand on H.F. 321 regarding an increase in the millage limitation of villages. Second by Pierce, Carried. RESOLUTION by Bly, second by Winkel, transferring $6,000. from Project ~8 to P.I.R. to repay a lemn made last year. Carried. RESOLUTION by Bly, second by Pierce, that the manager be authorized to advertise for bids on a two-ton truck. ~ Carnied. Tractor bids reconsidered. MOTION by Pierce, second by Winkel, that the bids be tabled until an adjourned meeting on February 20 in order that t~e Jeep could be offered for sale in the Minneapolis papers. Carried. Winkel MOVED, Bly seconded, that the bids be tabled until the regular Ma~ch meeting. Carried. Discussion of the widening and re-furfacing of state highway no. ll0. No action taken. Winkel MOVED, second by Bly, that the manager be authorized to advertise for bids for a second cash register for the liquor store. Carried. Tractor bids taken up. On MOTION by White, second bv Bly, the low bid of the Long Lake Farm Supply Co. of $126~. for a new Ford tractor was accepted. Discussion of council granting permission forthe Northwest Tonka Lions to held a carnival in August. No action.
