SPECIkL MEETING, MAY 1, 1951. 8:00 p.m. Krause Building.
Meeting called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Ma~or Davis.
Ail present.
Hearing
Publiag held to take action on petition signed by
J. M. ~ichardson, J. ~. Krause, R. J. Hondorf and byron Nvgaard
to relocate the ~Ii~y in the business block between the Great
Northern tracks and the Watertown Road.
&ll the petitioners and the other property owner concerned,
:~alph March, seem to be agreed on everything except 'the width of
the alley. Present allev was 12 feet wide. Ooe Krause insisted
that the new alley shoald be wider. He wanted the council
to agree to take steps to acquire a strip of the adjoining
prorrertv owned b~ Charles Johnson for additioaal width. The
council would not agree to condemnation. Village Attorne~
HePb Wotner was_to_contact the Johnson famil? in regard to
donation of an~~~ strip of land. No other
commitment was made.
Several of the peo~le present for tSe he~ing on the
alley relocation were property owners along the oroposed
i~prOve~ent of highway No. 110 so the project wa~ bro~ght
up. Ail seemed to favor i~provement, only distribution of
cost was disputed.
