Regular Meeting, August 7, 1951.

Delegation present on public hearing for change of zone
in area near Mound Park. Viewpoints heard by Planning
and Eoning Board which had four of its five members present.
Meeting adjourned to August 14, 1951.

Meeting held at 2:00 p.m. to receive and open bids on
the improvement of trunk highway no. 110 from Great
Northern tracks to the north village limits. White,
Blv and Winkel present.
Bids received from &shwortb & Son, St. Louis Park;
Alexander Construction 0o. of Minneapolis, and
Park Construction Co. of Minneapolis.
There were several different proposals but Park
Constructio~ Co. was low no matter which way t¼e
bids were figured.
Meeting ~djourned to 8:00 p.m. on motion by Winkel,
second by ~ly.

Excavations on west end of ~ake Langdon again discussed.
~r. BI? and Mr. Winkel had both viewed the protested
excavation on the property of Everett Sohns with the
village manager. BI¥ offered the following RESOLUTION:
WHE~AS, recent excavations on the west end of Lake
Langdon have resulted in se~¢eral protests from residents
of the area, and,
WHERE,~S, the village council is desirous of having areas
that can be excavated in or near,t¼e village so that fill
dirt for roads can be resdilv obtained, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that no further excavations be permitted
within the village limits whe~e dirt is taken out below
the nearby street grade or below an e~ation established
b~ the village manager, and,
BE IT RURTHER R~SOLVED, that the prooert? owner agrees to
~ properly slope the bard, s where the excavation is made
to meet the approval of the village manager.
