~cting Mayor ~oite and Manager Stopev present at the Krause
Building at the advertised tzme of 8:00 p.m. but no one appeared
for the p~J.b!ic h~aring on the assessment for the right-of-wa~
purchase for the extension of S.a..R. No. 125. &fter waiting
until 8:20 p.m. with no other councilmen or citizons appearing
~r~.ite adjourned the ~eeting to his baker~rV if the manager
could locate two ~ore councilmen. Councilmen Winkel and ~1¥
arrived at 8:40 p.m. and the hearing was continued in. White's
Bakery. The notice of he,ring was read and the following
RESOLUTION was offered by ~inkel; second by
WHE~EAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by M.S.A.
Sec. h12.441, (Laws 1949, Ch. 119, Sec. 55) the council has ~et
and ~eard no objections to the propcs ed assessment for t~e
right-of-way purchase for the extension of S.A.R. No. ]2~
between county roa~s nos. 7 and 1~, now therefore,
~E IT RESOLVED Bi'~ T~E VI.~.L.~.~:z. COUNCIL 0~ MOUWD,
1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of whic!-~ is attached
hereto and ~ade a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall
constitute the special assessment against the lands thenein
naNed, and ~ach tract of l~-~nd therein included is hereby found
to be benefitted by the oroposed i~prove~ent in the amount of
the ~ssessment levied against it.
2. Such assessment shall be @arable in one i~nstal!ment
during 1952. To the installment shall be added interest on
the assessment from the date of the resolution levying the
assessment until August 1~, 1992.
3. The owner of ~n~ property so assessed may, at any ti~e
prior to certification of the assessment to t~e county auditor
as herein provided, pay the whole of the assessment without interest.
4. The :manager shall fortwitb tr~.:nsmit a certified duplicate
of this assessment to the county auditor to be extened en the
proper tax lists of the county, and s;,~.ch assessments ~.hall be
collected end paid over ~n the ~anaer as other municipal taxes.
