1342 VILLAGE OF MOUND On motion by Livingston with a second by Pierce, and unanimous v©te ~pproving the Council approved the Building Permit for Roy E. Slentz Lot 3, Blk 6 The Highlands Garage $1,000. P~esent, Mayer Davis ~d Trustees Be~ler, Bly, Livingston and P~e~ce. Trustee Pierce reported on his interview with Carsten ~. Leikvold, an applicant for the position of Village Manager. His report was that Leikveld would make a very desireable Manager, $ d recommended that he be asked to come to Mound for an interview with the Council, on the basis that the Village would pay his transportation one way. After discussion it was apparent that some Members of. the Council wished to give further thought to the matter before asking Mr. Leikvold to come here, and the question was tabled without action. Trustee Bly reported that the $22.000. Street Improvement Bonds, s~ld to partially finance Street Improvement Project No. 14, had been delivered to Allison-Williams Co~pany and the proceeds deposited in the Bank to the credit of Project No. 14 Fund. The Council generally approved the idea of installing a ~ schedule ef fees which are to be charged for disposal of trash at the Village Dump,' whereby it will be ~ossible to help defray the expense of providing a care-taker in the daily supervision of its operation, and requested that any necessary ~amendment to 0rdinauce #52 be prepared b? the Village Attorney for ad option. The matter of transfer of money from the Liquor Fund te the General Fund was discussed but action tabl&d until the Regular Meeting to be held July 8th., 1952.
