streets and for stockpiling. He stated we needed 500 yards of
gravel for the streets and 500 yards for stockpiling. Motion
was made by Pierce that necessary steps be taken to procure this
gravel. With a second by Livingston, it was carried unanimously.
The Village Manager pointed ou~ that a building permit re-
quested by a Mrs. Florence Murphy for a garage which she wants
to place right on the edge of Birch Lane is not in accordance
with our building ordinance. The Village Manager was ordered
to investigate this farther.
The matter of rent control was again brought 'up, but no one
wished to make a motion for the continuance of the control.
On motion duly made, seconded and carried unanimously, the
meeting was adjourned at ll o'clock P.M. to be reconvened at 5:00
P.M. at the Village Office, September 16, 1952.

Bly.
The Meeting was called to order at the Village Office at 5:00
Present were Mayor Davis, Trustees Behmler, Livingston and
an motion made by Bly, seconded by Livingston, and carried
unanimously, the following resolution was adopted:
Whereas, the Hennepin Co'untw Tax Equalization Board has re-
cently adopted a recommendation of County Supervisor of Assessors,
Roy Haeg, to equalize the assessed valuation of all property in
Hennepin County on par with the City of Minneapolis value; and,
Whereas, such action of the Hennepin County Tax Equalization
Board is subject to the approval of the State of Minnesota Tax
Commissioner; and,
Whereas, the Village of Mound has information relative to the
assessed valuation of property in the Village of Mound; Now,
therefore,
Be it resolved that the Village of Mound protest the action
of the Hennepin County Tax Equalization Board and hereby request
a hearing before the State Commissioner as to its interest in the
proposed increase in assessed valuation of property.
On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting adjourned
at 5:30 P.M. to be reconvened at the Village Office on Monday,
September 22, at 8:00 P.M.
