The Manager reported that Mr. Spaeth had granted Mound a Hearing on the Proposed Raise in Valuation and set the date for November 6th. He showed the Council the exhibits he planned to present. Attest: Mayor Manager MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING, DECEMBER 1, 1952 Meeting called to order bT Acting Mayor Behmler at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Office. Present were Trustees Livingston and Pierce, and Manager Leikvold. Mayor Davis and Trustee Bl¥ were out of town. Minutes of the regular meeting held November 3, 1952 were read and on 'motion by Livingston, second by Pierce and unani- mous vote were approved as read. Mr. Baker of Mound Metalcraft, Inc., was present. He presented a petition signed bv the property owners affected asking for the vacating of Linden Street the north line of their property. Mr. Pierce made a motlc to call a hearing on the petition. Mr. Livingston seconded~ the motion and it was carried unanimously. In regard to the Rural Hennepin County Nursing District, the Council requested that the Manager write them a letter stating that their previous action stands. Mr. Livingston moved, Mr. Pierce seconded, and it was passed unanimously to discontinue the audit of the liquor store by McLa,.~ghlin-Mullenmaster-May Company. It was decided that the Village Manager would be responsible for a year-end inventor? this year. The audit of our books will be decided later. Mr. Pierce moved, Mr. Livingston seconded, and it was 1374 VILLAGE OF MOUND mnanimousl.v voted to approve the following election board for the Vil]~age election, December 2, 1952: Clerks, Helen Eugster and Priscilla .~nderson; Judges, Henry Ebert, Mrs. Paul R. Johnson, Mrs. Wm. Dressel; alternates: Clerks, ~vis Morin and Lomise Haestis; judges, Rev. Voll, Mrs. Ralph March and Sall~ Uner. Mr. Pierce made a motion that we fix up the Mack truck, advertise for bids on a new truck of comparable size for the use of the village and advertise for bids, one with a trade in and one outright; then advertise for bids 'fo~ a ~ox to fit. Mr. Kraase promptly replied he was in favor of vacating Linden Street but thought Dell Street should be widened at the same time. He thought the street should continue on east as it was started past the Red & k~ite Store. Mr. Oberdeck wondered why the road couldn, t be widened on the south.side rather than to cut off the front of the lots on the north side.
