Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Livingston, Litts, Pierce and Wenkstern, Attorney Bonham and Manager Leikvold. BUILDING Trustee Litts introduced the foil?wing resolution and moved its pt Io n: , ad o ~ :',~ · INITIAL RESOLUTION FOR ISSUANCE 0F BUILDING BONDS, SUBMITTING QUESTION TO AN ELECTION, APPOINTING JUDGES AND CLERKS OF ELECTION, AND FIXING HOURS BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mound, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Village Council of the Village of Mound has investigated the facts in order to determine,and has determined and does 1526 VILLAGE OF MOUND hereby find and declare, that it is necessary and expedient for the Village to borrow money and issue the negotiable coupon bonds of the Village in the amount of Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($35,000) for the purpose of providing money for the acquisition of a building for the housing of fire equipment of the Village. 2. A special Village election of the Village is hereby called to be held on April 25, 1955, at which there shall be submitted to the qualified voters of the Village the proposition set forth in the ballot hereinafter contained. 3. The Village Council shall meet on Wednesday the twenty- seventh day of April, 19~5, at 8:00 o,clock P.M., being within two days of the date of said election, for the purpose of canvassi~ the results of said election. 7. The Village Clerk shall give notice of said special prop- osition in the manner provided by law, by posting in at least three public places at least ten days in advance of said election and by publication in the official newspaper of the Village at least two weeks in advance of said election. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Trustee Wenkstern, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: R. N. Litts R. L. Wenkstern Frank Livingston E. J. Behmler and the following voted against the same: R. L. Pierce Whereupon said resolution was declared dulw passed and adopted. Minutes of the regular meeting of February 14 were read and on motion by pierce, seconded by Livingston, it was unanimously passed to approve the minutes as read. Minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of March 7 were read. Wenkstern moved, Pierce seconded, and it was unanimously passed to approve the minutes as read.
