Attest: MEETING OF CANVASSING BOARD April 27, 1955 FIRE STATION pursuant ~.to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the Village council of the Village of Mound, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was duly held at the Village Hall on Wednesday, April 27, 1955 at 8 o,clock P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Behmler, Trustees Litts and Wenkstern; and the follo~tng were absent: Trustees Livingston and pierce. The Clerk presented affidavits showing posting and publica'- tion, which affidavits were examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file. The Clerk then presented the official returns of the judges and clerks of the special election held on April 25, 1955. On the question of issuing not to exceed $35,000 1540 VILLAGE OF MOUND negotiable coupon bonds for the purpose of providing moneys for the acquisition of a building for the housing of fire equipment in the Village, the returns were duly ex- amined and canvsssed and found to be as lol- lows: Votes YES Votes NO --Spoiled Ballots 312 174 Wenkstern thereupon introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of tha Village of Mound, Hennepin County, Minnesota, that it is hereby found and determined that at the election held in and for said Village on the 25th day of April 1955, to vote upon the question .o£ issuing bonds in the amount of not to exceed $35,000 negotiable coupon bonds for the purpose of providing moneys for the acquisition of a building for the housing of fire equipment NOTICE OF -~PECIAL VILLAGE ELEOTION Notice is hereby given that a special village election of the Vil- lage of Mound, Minnesota, will be held Monday, April 25, 1955, between the hours of seven o'clock a. m. and eight o'clock There will be submitted to the voters of the village the following proposition: Shall the Village of Mound issue its . negotiable coupon bonds in the amount of not tO exceed thirty-five t h o u s a n d dollars for the purpose of pro- viding moneys for the acquisi- tion of a building for the hous- ing of fire equipment of tlle vil- lage? (4-21-55) in the Village, there was cast a total of 487 votes, of which 312 were in favor thereof, 174 were against the same and one was spoiled and defective, and said proposition is hereby declared to have been carried bv more than the requisite maj oriW. vote. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly Seconded by Litts, and 'upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Wenkstern Litts Behmler and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
