Trustee Pierce arrived late. H GH Y #15 Trustee Wenkstern offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS a resolution of the Village council adopted on the 9th day of May 1955 fixed a date for hearing on the proposed improve- ment of Highway #15 as follows: VILLAGE OF MOUND 1549 1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council resolution adopted Ma.V 9, 19~5; 2. Pfeifer and Sbultz, Wesley Temple Building, Minneapolis, Minnesota, are hereby designated as the engineers for this improvement. They shall prepare plans and speci- fications fop the making of this improvement. SHIRLEY HILLS STORM SEWER Litts moved, Wenkstern seconded, that the resolution of May 9, 19~5 regarding the Shirley Hills storm sewer be rescinded. S~ I/I/~'Y /~/'/~ SANITARY Livingston offered the following resolution an~oved its SEWERS adoption: WHEREAS the Village is proceeding to improve certain roads and property in Shirley Hills, Unit "D" and Shirley Hills, Unit "B" by the construction of a storm sewer, and WHEREAS the Council wishes to prevent any and all sanitary sewers from emptyio~ into said storm sewer or in any way affect- ing same, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MOUND, MINNESOTA, That the Village Manager be and he is hereby instructed to check said storm sewer periodically and report to the Council for appropriate action by it when it appears that any sanitar~y sewer is discharging into said storm sewer or in any way affecting the same. SHIRLEY HILLS DR&INAGE Trustee Pierce offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: WHERE&S pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on May 9, 19~, Pfeifer and SShultz, Wesley Temple Building, Minneapolis, Minnesota, the engineers retained for the purpose, have prepared plans and specifications for the proposed improvement of certain roads and property in Shirley Hills, Unit "D" ant Shirley Hills, Unit "B" by the construction of a storm sewer and have presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THW~ VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MOUND, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of ~hich are attached hereto and made a part hereof are hereby approved. 2. The Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an advertisement for bids 'upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. '1552 VILLAGE OF MOUND REZONING Block 5 Shirley Hills "A" Wenkstern moved, Livingston seconded, and it was carried 'unanimously ~ request to rezone Block 5, Shirley Hills Unit "A" from Residen- tial to Commercial be rejected. GRANT AVENUE & YALE AVENUE Curb & Gutter Trustee Wenkstern offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on May 23, 1955, Pfeifer and Shultz, Wesley Temple Building, Minneapolis, Minnesota, the engineers retained for the purpose, have prepared plans and specifications for the proposed improvement of Yale Avenue south of Highway #15 and Grant Avenue by the installation of curb and gutter and have presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MOUND, MINNES0 TA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof are hereby app roy ed. 2. SEWER SURVEY Litts moved to transfer $2,500.00 from the Liquor Fund to the General Fund to be expended for the purpose of making a preliminary. VILLAGE OF MOUND 1553 survey for a sewer system. Pierce moved that pfeifer and Shultz, Wesley Temple Building, Minneapolis, Minnesota, be appointed engine'ers for the purpose of making the preliminary survey for the sewer system.
