The meeting was called to order in the Village office at 8:00
P.M. by Mayor Behmler. present were Mavor Behmler, Trustees pierce,
LivingSton and Litts, Attorney Bonham and Manager Leikvold. Trustee
wenkstern arrived late.
Litts offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:

Whereas, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improve-
ment of certain roads and property in Shirley Hills, Unit "D" and
Shirley Hills, Unit "B" by the construction of a storm sewer, bids
were received and tabulated according to law, and the following bids

is the lowest responsible bidder,
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Village Council of Mound,
Minnesota:
1. The mayor and village manager are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into the attached contract with Edgar Cox and
Raymond Cox, a partnership, doing business as Cox Brothers of
Spring Park, Minnesota in the name of the Village of Mound for the
improvement of certain roads and property in Shirle~ Hills, Unit "D"
and Shirley Hills, Unit "B" by the construction of a storm sewer,
according to the plans and specifications approved by the Village
council and on file in the office of the Village clerk.
2. The village clerk is hereby authorized and directeU to re-
turn forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bi~s,
e~cept that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.

Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk Improvement
Pierce offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:
Whereas, the County of Her~epin has submitted to the Vi-llage of
Mound a proposed contract for the improvement of State Aid Road #15
within the village limits by the installation of curb, ~ttep, side-
walks and bitaminoms surfacing, a copy of which contract is hereto
attached and herewith made a part of this ~esolution, and,
~epeas, the Village Attorney has informed the Council that said
proposed contract meets all aPplicable legal ~eq~ipements, and
Whereas, the Coancil has received assurance from the Hennepin
County Highway Engineer that before m~ing an award under said pro-
p°seal contract, the County of Hennepin ~11 contact the Village of
Mound fop its approval op disapproval of said award, ~d
Whereas, it appears fop the best interest of the Village of
Moand to enter into said contract,
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That:

Whereas, on November 29, 1954, E. J. Behmler, Mayor and
carsten D. Leikvold, Village Manager, for and on behalf of the
Village of Mound, entered into an option with. Fred L. BrOnSOn,
Roby C Bronson and Harold L. Bronson for the purchase of Lot 9,

1. The Village of Mound accept said warranty Deed and pay
to Fred L. Bronson, Roby C. Bronson and Harold L. Bronson the
sum of $2,200.00 from available funds, 'upon the tendering to the
Village of tax receipts showing the payment in full of all current
and delinquent real estate taxes to be paid thereon and -upon ten-
dering of the master certificate of title to said premises on
file in the office of the Registrar of Titles in and for Hennepin
county, Minnesota;
2. The Village Attorney is hereby instructed to file said
warranty deed and releases in the office of said Registrar of
Titles and to secure a certificate of title to said premises in
the name of the Village of Mound free from encumbrances and re-
strictions ·

Water Department Loan
Pierce offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:
Whereas, the Village of Mound has Purchased from Fred L.
Bronson, Roby C. Bronson and Harold L. B~onson, Lot 9, Block
Shirley Hills, Unit "D" according to the plat thereof on file and

of record in the office of the Register of Deeds· Hennepin CoumtT,
Minnesota, for the construction of a fire hall thereon, and
Whereas, the Village of Mound will, on or about July 18, 19~,
receive the proceeds of the sale of ~3~,000.00 bond issue of the
Village for the purpose of constructing said fire hal.], and
Whereas, the Village of Mound operates a Water Department f m
which it derives water revenue and,
Whereas, there exists in the Water Department fund a s~
of $2,200.00 over and above all amounts required to pay the expenses
of said water departm?n~or the balance of the claendar yearn, and
Whereas, said s~ can best be used to pay the P~rchase
price of $2,200.00 of the above described property, and
Whereas· said $2,200.00 can be repaid to the Water Department
from the sale of said $35,000.00 bond issue,
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved That:
1. The sum of $2,200.0.0 be withdrawn from the Water Department
fund and be paid to Fred L. Bronson, Roby C. B~onson and Harold L.
Bronson in payment of the p~rchase price of the above described
property;
2. The sum of ~2,200.00 be .repaid to the ~ater Department fund
from the sale of the ~3~,000.00 bond issue sold for the purpose of
construction of the fire ball.

MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING, June 23, 1955
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, an adjourned regular
meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mound, Minnesota
was duly held at the Villag.e Hall in the Village on Thursday, the
23rd day of June, 1955 at 8.00 o,clock P.M.
Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Livingston, Litts and
Wenkstern, Attorney ~o~am and Village Manager Leikvold ~ and the
following were absent: Trustee Pierce.
STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS &
FIRE HALL BONDS
Litts introduced the following resolution and moved its~ adop-
tion:
BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of Mound,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Village Council deems it neqessary and expedient to
issue the negotiable coupon Street Improvement Bonds of the Villagev
in the amount of $15,000, consisting of 15 bonds in the denomina-
tion of $1,000 each, dated August l, 1955, bearing interest at the
rate designated by the successful bidder, payable semiannually on
February i and August l, in each year, which bonds are to mature
serially on February i in the amount of $3,000 in each of the years
1957 to 1961, both inclusive, without option of prior payment.
2. The Vil].age Council deems it necessary and expedient to
issue the negotiable coupon Fire Hall Bonds of the Village in the
amo~nt of $35,000, consisting of 35 bonds in the denomination of
$1,000 eoch, dated August l, 1955, bearing interest at the rate
designated by the successful bidder, payable semiannually on
February i and August i in each year, which bonds are to mature
serially on February i in the years and amounts as follows: $1,000
in each of the years 1957 to 1961, both inclusive, and $2,000 in
each of the years 1962 to 1976, both inclusive, all without option
of prior payment.
