MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING, June 29, 1955
The Council meeting as the Board of Review was
called to order at 8:00 P.M. at the Village Office
Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Livingston,
Wenkstern and Pierce, and Manager-Assessor Leik-
vo ld.

MINUTES OF REGUL.~R MEETING, July ll, 1955
Meeting called to order in the Village Office at 8:00 P.M.
Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Livingston, Litts and Wenkstern.
Minutes of the regular meeting of June 13, 1955 were read.
Wenkstern moved, Livingston seconded, and it was 'unanimously
passed to approve the minutes as read.
Minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of June 20, 1955
were read. In the resolution headed, "Water Department Loan"
on page 1562, the Council wished to have the word, ~surplus"
stricken out in favor of "cash balance". With this correction
Livingston moved, Litts seconded, and it was 'unanimously passed
to approve the minutes as read.
The minutes of the adjourned reg,mlar meeting of June 23,
19~ were read. The Council pointed out a typographical error
which they directe5 the Manager to correct. With this correction,
Litts moved, Wenkstern seconded, and it was unanimously passed to
approve the minutes as read.
OFF SALE B~R LICENSE
Babler, s Cafe
An application for an off sale beer license signed by Donna
Babler of Babler's Cafe and Grocery was presented to the Council.
A petition asking that the application be denied was also pre-
sented to the Council. After some discussion Livingston moved
that the application be rejected. With a second by Wenkstern the
motion was carried unanimously.

TRANSFER OF ~UNDS
Liquor to General.
Livingston moved that ~8,000 be transferre~ from the Liquor
Fund to the General Fund if the mone3~ is available. Wenkstern
seconded and the motion was carried unanimously.
Livingston moved, Wenkstern seconded and it was 'unanimously

LIQUOR STORE
The Liquon Store was discussed but no action taken.
1956 BUDGET
The 1956 Budget was discussed. A letter from the Union was read
asking for a meeting with the Council.
HOUSE NUMBERS
A letter from the postmaster dealing with house to house mail
delivery was read. The Council decided to take it 'up at budget
time.
INSURANCE
A letter from the Bank in regard to insurance was read. The
Council directed the Manager to invite Phil David to a Council
Meeting to talk over the Village Insurance.
LEONARD HART ROAD
A letter from Leonard Hart regarding his road was read and
referred to the Manager.
CIVILIAN DEFENSE
A letter from Harry 01sen regarding Civilian Defense was read.
T~e Council directed the Manager to answer the letter and to try
to get some publicity in the paper.

MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING July 11, 19~5
The Council meeting as the Board of Review was called to order
at 11~.00 P.M. at the Village Office by Mayor Behmler.
The minutes of the Board meeting of June 29 were read and on
a motion by Livingston, seconded by Wenkstern, were unanimously
approved as read.
The Board reviewed the method of assessing, checked on some of
the personal property, and there being no taxpayers present, approved
the assessment and signed the book.

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof an adjourned regular
meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Mound, Minnesota,
was duly held in the Village Hall in said village on Monday, the
18th day of July, 1955, at 8:00 o'clock P. M.
The following members were present:
Mayor Behmler, Trustee~ Livingston, Litts, Wenkstern and
Pierce, Attorney Bonham and Manager Leikvold.

consideration of bids for the purchase of $15,000 Street Improvement
Bonds and $35,000 Fire Hall Bonds as advertised for sale.
~he Clerk presented the sealed bids which had been delivered
to him prior to the time specified in the notice of bond sale, and
said bids were opened, examined and found to be as follows:
