1955-07-25VILLAGE OF MOUND i579 MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING, July 25, 1955 Meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Office by Mayor Behmler. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Pierce, Livingston and Wenkstern and Manager Leikvold. PIRE HALL Fire Hall plans were discussed with the architects and firemen. 1~enkstern offered the following reso- lution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, by a resolution passed by the Council on July 18, 1955, the Village Manager was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving certain roads and property in Shirley Hills, Unit "D" and Shirley Hills, Unit "B" by the in- stallation of a storm sewer, and, WHEREAS, the Village Manager has noti- fied the Council that such proposed assess- ment has been completed and filed in his office for public inspection, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL 0F MOUND, MINNESOTA: i. A hea~Ing shall be held on the 22nd day of August, 1955 in the Village Hall at 8:00 P.M. to pass upon such proposed assess- ment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improve- ment will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 2. The Village Manager is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once or more in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement and the description of every assessable lot., piece of parcel of land within the district affected. SEWER SURVEY There was a discussion with representatives of Pfeifer and Shultz regarding preliminary plans for a sewer. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Pierce, Livingston and Wenkstern and Manager Leikvold. 0IL STATION Connors 0il Company of St. Bonifacius presented an applica- tion to erect a filling station on Lot 46, Auditor's Subdivision #167. The Council tabled the matter until they could hear from interested citizens. FIRE HALL Wenkstern moved the following resolution be adopted: WHEREAS, Patch & Erickson, Wayzata, Minnesota, and B. I. Petri, Navarre, Minnesota, have heretofore been engaged as architects for the construction of the new fire hall at a rate of compensation hereto- fore fixed, and WHEREAS, said architects have submitted final working drawings and specifications for said fire hall, and WHEREAS, the same have been submitted INFORMATION TO RIDDERs MOUND FIRE STATION Village of Mound Sealed bids 'will be received in duplicate at the office of the Village Manager in the Village of Mound, Minnesota until 8:00 p. m. on the 22nd day of August, 1955 and then publicly opened and considered at that time by the Village Council at the Council chambers in said Village for the furnishing of all labor, materials tools, equipment and skill re- quired for the construction of a new municipal fire station, in- cluding all mechanical consider- ations. The building will be Io- cared within the corporate limits of the Village of Mound, Minne- sota, and the work shall be car- ried out in strict accordance with the plans and specifications prey pared by Patch and Eriekson, 333 Minnetonka Avenue, -Wayzata,
