1957-05-23VILLAGE OF MOUND OF ADJOURNED REOULAR Meet~ug called to order in the Fire Station at 8:00 P.~. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Livingston, Adams, Lockhart, Brazman and Manager Boxell. ~rs. ~ober~ Xrause petitioned for a beauty parlor %o be located in her home. Adams me, ed, Lockhart seconded, and it was unanimously carried to grant her request for a beauty parlor in her home. LOST IAKE PH)JI~T The following .affected property o~ers were present: Xrause, Stein, Jackson, Bowers and Adams All stated they were in favor of the project and were willing to give the proper~y required for the project to the Village by quit claim deed, with the following stipulation: 'The area required to be determined by ~easuremant from the center of County Highway #110 - 250 feet in an easterl~ direction, thus establishing the easterly boundary of the property they are to retain. "Resolved that the Council of the Village of Hound, Hennepin County, X[nnesota hereby petition the Board of County C~.~ssionere of Hennepin County, ' pursuant to Chapter 806, Laws of X~mnesota, '1955, to activate a park district consisting of all of the county of Hennepin except that portion lying within the boundaries of the City of Minneapolis. · On roll call the vote was as follows: Brazman Yea Lockhart Yea Adams Yea Livingston Yea Beh~ler Yea and so the resolution was passed." Livingston ~oved, Ad~s seconded, and it vas unanimousl~ carried to send to the Honorable Boa~d of County Oc~missioners of Hennepin County, State of Ninnesota the following: "Please be advised that the Council of the Village of Hound, He~epin.~=unty at a duly called and held meeting adopted the following resolu- tion on Hay 23, 1957 and directed its transmission to you: (Copy of above reso- lution )~ ~' VILLAGE OF MOUND Livingston moved, Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried that the VilLage Manager be instructed %o notify H~ward Orn that the Oour~il requests payment of the $60.00 due on a call made October 22, 1955 and that if it is not paid, action for eollec%ion shall be taken. Adams n~-ved, Bra~m seconded, and it was u~n-tmously carried to turn the fire call to the ~eorge Lee property on February 5, 1956 account over %o an attorney for collection on a percentage fee basis. Livingston moved, Brazman seconded to accept $70 as offered by Mr. Johnson as paid in full for the fire call of December 26, 1956 on which a balance of $140 is left to be paid. There were four yeas and one not voting. JOINT MEETI~G It was decided to have a Joint meting of Village Council and the Mound Volunteer Fire Department for a discussion of Fire Department and Fire Pro- testion Problems on May 27th, 1957 at 8:00 P.M. at the Fire Station. Adams moved, Lockhart seconded, and it was un~_rdmously cabal-led to adjourn to reconvene ~ 27, 1957. Points under discussion were: Outside Fire Calls A. No. of men to go on outside calls 1. Fire Chief Bowers requested more time for study by the department members. He stated it was his hope to set up a plan which would be satisfactory to all parties concerned. The Fire Department Executive Committee to meet with .the Council at next regular meeting in June. B. In regard to pay - leave as it is at~ ~the present time. Inside Calls - No change. First Aid Calls - No change.
