Livingston moved, Adams seconded, and it was una~mously carried that the
Village Manager be instructed to notify Howard Om that the Council requests
payment of the $60.00 due on a call made October 2~, 19~ and that if it is
not paid, action flor collection shall be taken.
Adams mowed, Brazmma seconded, and it was u~--~mously carried to turn
the fire ,all to the George L~e pX~pex~ on l~ebruary %, 12%6 acco~u$ over
tO an attorney for eolleetion on a percentage fee basis.
Livingston mowed, Brazman seconded to accept $?0 as offered by Mr. Johnson
as paid in full for the f~re call of December 26, 1956 on which a balance of
$1~0 is lei~ to be paid. There were four yeas and one not voting.
JOINT MEETING
It was decided to have a Joint meeting of Village Council and the Mound
?ol~mteer Fire Department for a discussion of Fire Department and Fire Pro-
tection Problmas on May 2?th, 1957 at 8:00 P.M. at the Fire Station.
Adams moved, Lockhart seconded, and it was unamLmously carried to adjourn
to reconvene ~ 27, 1957.

Meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. at the Fire Station. Present were
Mayor Bahw~ler, Trustees Livingston, Adams, Lockhart and Brazman, and ;~anager
This was a Joint meeting of the Village Council ~ad the Mound Volunteer
Fire Department. Points under discussion were:
Outside Fire Calls
A. No. of men to go on outside calls
1. ~lre Chief Bowers requested more time for study by the
department members. He stated it was his hope to set
up a plan which would be satisfactory to all parties
concerned. The Fire Department Executive Committee to
meet with .the Council at next regular nesting in June.
B. In regard to pay - leave as it is att he present time.
2. Inside Calls - No change.
3. First Aid Calls - No change.
VILLAGE OF MOUND
Outside Fire Aid to ~urroundin~ Area
A. The Council should take the ~nitiative with aid frem Fire Dept.
to try to negotiate some form of blanket contract with the
NO PARKING SIGNS
Brazman mo~ed, Lockhart seconded that the signs on the east side of Moumd
High School on Highly #110 be covered Saturday morning to see what the reports
will be from the State and County Safety ~gineere. The vOte was two yeas
and three nays.
Livingston moved, Lockhart seconded to replace present siam of "No Parking
between Signs" with the former signs, "No Parking between Hours of 8:00 A.M. -
4:00 P.M. During School." The vote was four yeas and one not voting.
Adams moved, Brazman seconded add it was ~animo~l~carried to adjourn.

Meeting called to order in the Fire station at 8:00 P.M. Present were Mayor
Behmler, Trustees L0c?~art, Adams, Livingston and Brazman and Manager Boxell.
· ~ Minutes of the regular meeting of May 14, 1957 were read. There was one
~correction %o be made: The transfer of cash from the water fund to the Fire
., Department in the General Fund should read $3,941.25 instead of $3,738.16.
With this correction, Brazman moved, Iockha~t seconded and it was unanimously
carried to approve these mim~tes. ;

LOST IAKE PBO JEOT
Harold Olson, a surveyor, described the work that is necessary to obtain the
proper descriptions of property the village ~esires to obtain by quit claim deeds
from the private property owners involved in this project. He stated a top figure~
of $2,500 as a fee for the surveying of the area involved and the drawing of the
property descriptions.
