Meeting called to order in the Fire Station at 8:00 P.M. Present were Mayor
Behmler, Trustees iockhart, Adams, Livingston and Brazman and Manager Boxell.

oorre~tion to be made: The transfer of cash from the water fund to the Fire
Department in the General F~nd should read $3,941.25 instead of $3,738.16.

Harold Olson, a surveyor, described the work that is necessary to obtain the
preper descriptions of property, the village ~esires to obtain by quit claim deeds
~ the private property owners involved in this project. He stated a top fignre~
of $2,500 as a fee for the surveying of the area involved and the drawing of the
property descriptions.

development of Lost Lake up to the present time, and to contact Dr. Selke of the
department and suggest he set a date for a meeting between the S~ate, Oounty,

Lockhax~ moved, Bra~nan seconded, and it was unanimously carried to amend
Ordinance #38 as follows:
Section 1. Section 9 of Ordinance No. 38 is hereby amended, so that, as
amended, the same shall read:
Section 9. Compensation of Firemen: Compensation of the members and
officers of'the firs department shall be established by resolution of the
Council.

Livingston moved, Adams seconded and it was unanimously carried to accept the
invitation of Orono Village Council to meet with them June 24, 1957 at 8:30 P.M.
at their Village Hall in Crystal Bay.
STREET & ROAD IMPROVEMENT
What to do with Old Highway #7 was tabled awaiting a report from the Hennepin
County Commissioners.
BEER LICENSES
Brazm~ offered the following resolution and moved its adoption:
Resolved to grant the following beer licenses for the year beginning July' 1,
1957:

Peter A. Sollie --Off Sale
Northland Cafe .... On and Off Sale
Bob's Tavern ..... On and Off Sale
Livingston seconded and on roll call the vote was as follows:

and so the resolution was carried.
SEWAGE DISPOSAL
Brazman moved, Lockhar~ seconded, and it was unanimously carried to instruct
the Village Manager to obtain data on plant site as follows:
1. Present owners
2. Size of parcel of land needed for the plant
3. Cost of this parcel of land

following pieces of property be condemned and abatement of conditions requested:

Owner is to be given 90 days in which to improve the property so it
will comply with the Village Buildimg Code. A sign is to be put up
condemning said property until improvements are made.

Meeting in conJuction with Orono Village Council at the Orono Village Hall
at Crystal Bay at 8:30 P.M. on June 24, 1957, in regard to fire pro~ection for
residents of Orono Village.
Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Adams, Lockhart, Livingston and
Brazman, Fire Chief Bowers and Manager Boxell.
FIRE PROTECTION
Orono Village Council requested a 6C-day period before an answer is given
to the Village of Mound on their proposal of a charge of $2.00 per house which
is to be under a blanket contract plus a guarantee of $60/hr.
