1957-07-09VILLAGE OF MOUND I 49. MINUTES OF HE BOARD OF ~EVIEW M~ETING, June 27, 1957 The Council meeting as the Board of Review was called to order at 7:30 P.M. at the Fire Station. Present were Ma~or Behmler, Trustees Livingston, Lockhart, ~ and Manager, Assessor Vernon Boxell. Attest: Livingston moved, Ad~s seconded, and it was unanimously carried that the meeting be MINOTES OF REGUIAR MEETING, July 9, 1957 Meeting called to order in the Fire Station at 8:00 P.M. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Ad~as, Lockhart, Brazman amd ~/anager Boxell. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 11, 1957 were read. Lockhart moved, Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried to accept the mimates as read. Hh~utes of the Adjourned Regular Meeting of June 24, 1957 were read, and on motion by hzman, seconded by Adam~, unanimously carried to be accepted as VACATING OF ALLEY A petition from W. H. Barber Oil Co., Walter A. Halgren, and James E. Gimlo requesting the vacating of alley located between Lots 4 & 5, Block 3, Shirley Hills Unit "F", said alley being located west of the present site of Mee-Tee-Or Oil Statior4 was read. It was moved, seconded and carried that a hearing date for the vacating of this alley be set for July 23, 1957 at 8:00 P.M. at the Fire Station. ~JILDING PERMIT A request for a building permit from Allen Anderson, Skarp & Lindquist Glen Arbor, Lot 16, Plat 62090, Parcel 3400, was read. The request was made for re- modeling the present structure on these premises, but it was made due to the fact that this is only a 40 foot lot but with an overall area of over 8,000 square feet. Brazman moved, Lockhart seconded, and it was unanimously carried to grant the permit if Mr. Anderson obtat~ed a written O.K. from his neighbor on the east side of his property and presented it to the Village Council. Reason for grant- lng this building permit was the fact that Yale Avenue, a 30~foot wide street 1750 VILLAGE OF MOUND is on the west side of Mr. Anderson's property, thus there is plenty of clearame on this side from neighboring buildings. OUTSIDE FIRE PROTECTION The Village Manager was instructed to send a copy of Attorney General's ruling on answering outside fire calls by a Village Fire Department to the following: Orono Village Council Members Mirmetrista Township Board Members Clerks of s~rrounding ~-ommunities Fire Department o~ surrounding commirLities CLUB LIBOR LICENSE Adams moved, Brazman seconded, and it was unanimous ]F carried to grant a Club Liquor License for ~he year beginning July 1, 1957 to the American Legion Mlnnetonka Post #398. SHRINERS' CONVENTION Brazman moved that the Mound Village Council extend a cordial welcome to the S~ners and their many friends on Mound Day, July 17th. Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried. Brazman moved that the Mound Village Council grant the Mound Chamber of Commerce permission to put up street banners. Iockhart seconded, and it was unanimously carried. MONTHLY BILLS Brazman moved, Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried to pay the following bills ~ere funds are available, with the exception of withholding payment of parts of the following bills: 1. Adams ~oved, Brazmm~ seconded, and it was carried to notify the County that the Mound Village Council is very much in favor of such a program.
