1957-09-03i756 VILLAGE OF MOUND Herbert Peck requested a building permit to Covert a summer cottage to a dwelling on Lot 3 Blk 2 Lakeside Park, Plat 61570, Parcel 2050. Lockhar~ moved, Brazman seconded that a building permit be issued to Herb Peck. On roll call the vote was as follows: ~ehmler Yea Lockhart Yea Brazman Yea Livingston Yea Adams Yea and so the resolution was passed. Brazman moved, Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried to adjourn to September 3, 1957 at 8:00 P.M. at the Fire Station. ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETLNG, September 3, 1957 Meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. at the Fire Station. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Adams, Livingston, Lockhart, Brazman and Manager Boxell PARKING & TRAFFIC SAFETY Brazman proposed the following resolution and moved its adoption. Lockharb seconded, and on roll call the vote was as follows: Brazman Yea Lockhart Yea Adams Yea Livingston Yea Behmler Yea The following are the propased measures to be taken to ~ carry out the program as outlined in regard to parking and traffic safety: 1. Highway #110 north of school to be 2-hour parking on both sides. e Church Street, north of Mueller Drug Store and next to school parking lot to be 2-hour parking on each side (allowing a space for doctors ~here "No Parking" will be in force. ) 3. In front of school on Highway #110 a 20-foot crosswalk be put in and VILLAGE OF MOUND i757 a protective area on each side of crosswalk be ,Parking only on Saturday and Sunday." 4. Dell Street be set up as a 2-hour parking zone. 5. Area on Highway #110 in front of Lake Dry Cleaners be 15-minute zone, and in front of ~ospel Light ~re~ be 30-minute zone. 6. Ten-foot crosswalk be out in by Piggly Wiggly store crossing Highway #110 to parking lot next to~ Lumber Yard. Area on west side be allowed for crosswalk protection, balance of area in front of the Hardware Stores to be 30-minute zone. 7, Area on east side of Highway #110 by Minnetonka Lumber Yard parking lot be "No Parking." 8. Crosswalks in both directions at intersection of Highway #110 and Highway #15 at Pardee corner. 9. Ten-foot crosswalk across Highway #110 at the Catholic Church. 10. The curve on Highway #110 on west side extending from the Catholic Convent to entrance of Catholic School parking lot be "No Parking at any time." 11. Signs to be put up designating free or public parking areas in the business district. RESIGNATION OF VILLAGE CLERK Livingston moved, Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried to accept the resignation of Alpha Mickelson as village clerk. TRANSFER OF FUNDS Livingston moved, Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried to trans- fer the following funds to the P.I.R. Sinking Fund from: 1. Project ~9 $684.50 2. Project #10 690.00 3. Project #11 14.15 Livingston proposed a resolution declaring a surplus in Project #5 in the amount of $1,656.31 and to transfer this amount to the P.I.R. Sinking Fund. Brazman seconded, and on roll call the vote was as follows: Livingston Yea Brazman Yea Adams Yea Lockhart Yea Behmler Yea i758 VILLAGE OF MOUND Livingston proposed a resolution and moved its adoption to declare a surplus in Project #6 in the amount of $96.82, arum that this amount be transferred to the P.I.R. Sinking Fund. Adams seconded, and on roll call the vote was as follows: Livingston Yea Adams Yea Brazman Yea Lockhart Yea Behmler Yea Livingston proposed a resolution and moved its adoption to declare a surplus in the Water Works Bond ~und in the amount of $133.91, and that this amount be transferred to the P.I.R. Sinking Fund. REGUIAR MEETING, September 10, 1957 Meeting called to order ~t 8:00 P.M. at the Fire Station. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Adams, Lockhart, Brazman and Manager Boxell. Minutes of the regular meeting of August 13, 1957 were read. Brazman moved, Lockhart seconded and it was unanimously carried to accept the minutes as read.
