1957-10-08VILLAGE OF MOUND 1769 REGUIAR MEETING, October 8, 1957~ M~eting called to order at the Fire Station at 8:00 P.M. Present were Mayor Behmler, Trustees Adams, Livingston, Lockhar~, Brazman a~ Manager Boxell. Brazman moved, Iockbart seconded, and it was unanimously carried to accept the minutes of Eeptember 10, regular meeting, as rea~. Brazman moved, Livi_ugston seconded, and it was unanimously carried to accept the minutes of the adjourned meeting of September 18 with the following corrections,: That the sum of $95.99 in Project #7 be transferred to P.I.R. Sinking Fund and the sum of $95.99 be repaid to Project #7 by P.I.R. Sinking Fund after the C .D. is cashed on October 10, 1957.. That the sum of $18.75 be transferred from the General Fund to P.I.R. Sinking Fund and that this same sum be repaid to the General Fund from P.I.R. Sinking Fund after the C.D. is cashed on October 10, 1957. The mimates of the adjourned regular meeting of September 19, 1957 were read. Brazman moved, Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried to accept the minutes as read. The minutes cf the adjourned regular meeting of September 23 were read. Brazman moved, Livingston seconded, and it was unanimously carried to accept the minutes as read. The minutes of the adjourned regUlar meeting of September 24 were read. Livingston moved, Brazman seconded, and it was unanimously carried to accept the mimutes as read. The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of September 25 were read. There was one correction. Livingston moved that the Manager be allowed $600 for cleaning sex'vlces for the Liquor Store and the Village Office. The motion was lost due to a lack of a second. ~ith this correction, Brazman moved, Adams seconded, and it was unanimously carried to accept the minutes as read. ADOPTION OF BUDGET FOR '1958 Brazmau offered the fol~lowing resolution and moved its adoption: Be it resolved that the General Fund Budget of the Village of Mound for the year 1958 be adopted as follows: Administration ............. $17,003 Assessor ................... 1,475 Dum ....................... Lockhart ~E~ER IXCENSE Lockhart offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: That an on and off sale Beer License be granted to Mrs. ~ayes Dalton of Mound Casino if the Bottle Club that is in operation at the present time is abolished. The motion was seconded by Adams, and on roll call the vote was as follows: Brazman Yea Lockhart Yea Adams Yea Livingston Yea Behmler Nay and so the resolution was passed. HENNEPIN CO. NURSING Adams introduced the following r~solution and moved its adoption: "Resolution Relating to Participating in Rural HennepinCountyNursing District." ~HEEEAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, sections 145.08 and 145.12 pro- vision has been made for a public health nursing district in that portion of Hennepin County outside the City of Minneapolis, and ~EREAS , pursuant to such authority such a publichealth nursing dis- trict has been organized and has been in operation for several years, and WHEP~EAS , it is deemed necessary to continue the operation of such nursing district and to provide it with adequate funds for its proper operation, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the goSerni~ body of the Village of Mound that this political subdivision continue to be included in the public health nursing district of rural Hennepin County, organized on January 4, 1952; that it participate in the benefits thereof; and that it agrees to support _on an apportionment basis its pro rata share of the cost of the administration of such district provided, however, that for the period January 1, 1958 to December 31, 1960, this cost shall not exceed in any one year $.47 per capita on the 177 , VILLAGE OF MOUND basis of the official 1950 Federal Census. BE IT FUR2HER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall be deemed an agreement to continue to participate in such nursing district on the basis hereinbefore specified with all other political subdivisions adopting similar resolutions. TRANSFER OF BUDGET ~UNDS Brazman moved, Lockhart seconded, and it was unanimously carried to trans- fer the following from the Street Department Budget under General Fund to: 1. Dump $187.36 2. Refunds Paid Out 7.00 3. Unallocated 47.00 4. Transfer 15.00 $256.36 EXPENDITURE RESTRICTION Livingston offered the following: That the Village Manager be restricted to contract no debt obligation in any division of the 1957 Budget wherein sufficient budget has not been provided and also wherein sufficient cash will not be available to pay such debt obligation before the end of the 1957 fiscal year which is December 3~1, 1957 Adams seconded the Ov-w,~ on roll call the vote was as follows: Livingston Yea Adams Yea Lockhart Yea Brazman Yea Behmler Yea and so the motion was carried.
