MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF APRIL 1, 1959
Special Meeting of the Mound Village Council of April 1, 1959, 7::30 P.M.
at the Mound Fire Station.
Present were: Mayor Bekmler, Trustees Batdorf, Larson, Brazman and
Petersen and Manager Boxell.
The following resolution was offered by Petersen and seconded by Brazman.
RESOLUTION OF VILLAGE COUNCIL CALLING EIECTION ON QUESTION OF
ANNEXATION AND DESIGNATING ELECTION JUDGES
WHEREAS, a certain petition dated March 31, 1959, requesting that an
election be held on the question of annexing certain territory described
therein to the Village of Mound, Minnesota, be submitted to voters residing
within the territory described in the petition, was duly filed ~ith the
village clerk on April 1, 1959; and
WHEP~AS, said petition is in proper form and it appears therefrom
that the same was signed by more than five legal voters of the area there in
described pursuant to M.S.A. 412.041, Subd. 5, and that the censUS taken by
said signers shows a resident population of the said area of 796 persons;
and it appearing that said annexation would be in the best interests of the
village and the territory proposed:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village
of Mound, Minnesota:
1. An election is hereby called and directed to be held on the 21
day of April, 1959, at Ward's Store, Minnestrista Township, at which election
all qualified voters residing ~thin the territory described in said petition
may vote upon the following question:

So carried m~d resolved.
Brazman moved the meeting be adjourned until the adjourned meeting
of April 7, 1959 at the Mound F~re Station. Larson seconded the
motion. The vote was unanimously in favor so carried and adjourned.

VOLUNTEER FIREMENS RELIEF ASSOCIATION
The meeting of the Mound Volunteer Firemens Relief Association was held
April 6, 1959 - 8:00 P.M. at the Mound Fire Station,
Present were: Officers of the Association and its Board of ~irectors,
the Village Clerk,~ the Village Treasurer and the Village Manager.
Discussion was of the amending of the Articles of Incorporation amd the
Association By-Laws.
~he Articles of Incorporation and the Association By-Laws were amended
by Resolution.

The Adjourned Meeting of the Mound Village Council was held April 7, 1959
at the Mound Village Office at 7:30 P.M.
Present were: Mayor Behmler, Trustees Batdorf, Brazman, Larson, Petersen,
Attorney Ploetz and Manager Bexell.
