MINUTES OF MAY 26, 1959 Village Council Meeting - 7:30 P.M. Mound Fire
Station
Present were: Mayor Behrnler, Trustees Petersen, Larson and Batdorf; .Attorney
Ploetz and Manager Boxe11.
COPPER TUBING
Petersen moved the bill for Copper Tubing from Lead Supplies, Inc. for the sum
of $1, 152.19 be paid where funds are available. Larson seconded the motion.
The vote was unanimously in favor. So carried.
LIQUOR BILL
Larson moved the liquor bill from Lynn Johnson for the sum of $623.63 with a cash
discount of $6.30 be paid where funds are available. Petersen seconded the motion.
The vote was unanimously in favor.
So carried and so ordered.
ON AND OFF SALE 3. Z BEER LICENSES
The Manager recommends all licenses for 3. Z Beer On and Off Sale applied for be
granted. The Manager further recommends that a directive go with all licenses
outlining laws governing operation of' such businesses.
PUBLIC HEARING FOR REZONING OF M.W. SKOGLUND PROPERTY
A l:~ublic Hearing for the rezoning of the property of M. W. Skoglund from Resident-
iai "A" to Multiple Dwelling. Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22,
23, 24, 25, 26, 27, (North 15 ft. of 28)and 33. Auditors Subdivision N°. 168
Plat 61270 Parcel 750
Granville Tyler and Bruce Robinson and several other owners of affected property
appeared and asked questions and joined in discussion with councilmen, Manager
and Village Attorney.
Larson moved that the council continue the application for rezoning to June 9, 1959
at 7:30 P.M. at the Mound Fire Station that the fact questions of compliance with
requirements of suitable street dedicat/on and suitable access dedication to Lake
Langdon be further considered, that in all other respects the proposed amendment
to Village Zoning Ordinance No. 46 be approved. Batdorf seconded the motion.
The vote was unanimously in favor. So carried.
STREET LIGHTING
The Street Lighting for Mound Business district was discussed briefly and tabled
for further information~ and it was resolved that the manager be instructed to direct
the engineer to report feasibility and estimated cost. Resolution offered by Brazman
and seconded by Batdorf. The Roll Call was unanimously in favor. So resolved.

The Manager reported three sign companies contacted all can bid under the present
specifications but one suggested that bids be accepted on materials only or materials
and installation or both. The council directed the Manager to prepare specification~
for the next meeting,
CAMPUS CRUSADE FOP, CHRIST
The use of the Campus Crusade for Christ property was discussed.
COMMITTEE MEETING
A committee meeting with representatives of the Northern States Power Company
was set for Tuesday, June 2, 1959, 12:00 noon at Lacney's Cafe - Luncheon Meeting.
CHARTER OR 4th CLASS CITY
Attormey Ploetz read from a lengthly report on the merits cf operating under a
charter or as a City of the 4th Class. The council requested they be given a copy
of the text read before the next meeting.
Larson moved the meeting be adjourned until the regular meeting of June 9, 1959 at
7:30 P.M. at the Mound Fire Station. Petersen seconded the motion. The vote
was unanimously in favor. So carried and adjourned.
