Present were: Mayor Larson, Trustees Batdorf, Brazman, Petersen; Attorney Grathwol and Manager Boxell. TRUSTEE BRAZMAN KESIGNATION A. S. Brazman presented his resignation as Trustee of the Village of Mound. Batdorf offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. Petersen second-- ed the motion. BE IT RESOLVED, that the resignation of A. S. Brazman as Trustee of the Village of Mound be accepted. HEARING STREET LIGHTING PROGRAM School Board members present: Mr. l~ay Cox, approving program; Mr. Wilfred C. Anderson, thoroughly opposed to program. Great Northern Railroad representa- tive, Mr, A. G, Bell, made no objection to program and expressed opinion the company would approve and support the program financially. Also present were Northern State Power representatives, Mr. Harry Hanson and Mr. Bob Ellers. Brazman offered the fo]loving resolution and moved its adoption. ed the motion. Batdorf second- WHEREAS, a resolution of the Village Council adopted the Zl day of July, 1959, fixed a date for a hearing on the -purchase and installation of street lights for the Mound business area. AND WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be assessed for the cost of this improvement were given ten days published notice of the council VILLAGE OF MOUND 1987 August 5, 1959 - Page 3 hearing through two weekly publications of the required notice and the hearing was held and property owners heard thereon on the 5th day of August, 1959. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUND: at the adjourned meeting of August 5, 1959. 1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the council resolution adopted July 14, 1959. 2. The Village Manager is hereby ordered to secure plans and specifications which shall be filed with the Village Manager and presented to the council for approval at a regular meeting. 3. The village Manager shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two weeks, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened and considered by the council at a regular meeting on September 8, 1959 at 8:00 P. M, in the Mound Fire Hall of the Village of Mound, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Manager and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the Village of Mound for 5% of the amount of such bid.
