1959-08-181994 VILLAGE OF MOUND MINUTES OF THE ADJOUB. NED MEETING OF AUGUST 18, 1959 at 7:30 P. M. at the Mound Fire Station Present were: Mayor Larson, Trustees Batdorf, Brazman, Petersen and Gulden; Attorney Ploetz and Manager Boxell. ....STREET LIGHTING SPECIFICATIONS Street Lighting Specifications were presented. The Village Council moved the Liability Insurance be increased to $300,000 and the Property Damage Insurance be $50,000. Batdorf offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. seconded the motion, Brazman BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Mound, Minnesota at the adjourned meeting of August 18, 1959; The plans and specifications for street lighting improvement, portions west from intersection of Highway #15 with Maple Street to intersection with Highxvay #110 and from the north bound- ary of Lot 12, Auditors Subdivision t/170 to Todd Ave. on Highway #110, described therein, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved, with the increased insurance herein noted, the manager is hereby directed to endorse approval on the original thereof, and to publish notice to bidders thereon, Roll Call vote: Brazman Aye Batdorf Aye Gulden Aye Petersen Aye Lar s on Aye Carried and adopted. VACATING OF ALLEY Petersen offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. seconded the motion. Batdorf WHEREAS, the petition of owners of real property abutting, on site of former Me-Tee-Or Service Station at intersection of Hwy. //15 and old Hwy. #125, came on for hearing, August 11, 1959 at which time proponents objecting were heard and certain findings of fact were made, viz. That said petition was executed by a majority of the owners of property abutting thereto; that said petition was duly published two weeks and posted two weeks, and that said vacation was in the public interest provided that an additional ten feet be dedicated to alley purposes from the, sly. 10 feet of lots 1 - 7, inclusive, Block 3, and thealley proposed to be vacated; provided that an appropriate utility easement be granted over lots 5, 6, and 7, Block 3, or over and across said alley proposed to be vacated, and provided that a letter of interest be furnished 15'y Pure Oil Company to the Village Council stat~ their intent to purchase said property and construct a new gasoline service VILLAGE OF MOUND August 18, 1959 - Page Z 1995 station thereon WHEREAS, the hearing was accordingly continued until August 18, 1959 by resolution of the council duly ~ade and seconded and carried unanimously WHEREAS, on 8/18/1959, said hearing was duly called and reconvened and evidence received showing compliance with the stated requirements, and WHEREAS, proponents and objectors were at such time were afforded opportunity to speak, and none presented themselves, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mound that that ~lley, located Lots 4 and 5, Block 3, Shirley Hills Unit F, previously dedicated for alley purposes be, and hereby is, except for the sly 10 feet thereof, vacated. r<oll Call vote: Br azm~n Aye Batdorf Aye Petersen Aye Gulden Aye Lar s on Aye So carried and resolved. BINGO PERMIT - Our L.ady of th__e Lake Church Brazm~m offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. Petersen seconded the motion. RESOLVED, the request of Our Lady of the Lake Church for a Bingo Permit for September 27, 1959 be granted. The game to be held at Our Lady of the Lake School.
