meeting of April 26, 1960 at 8:00 P.M. at the Island Park Hall, Mound, Minn.

HEAPING ON ANNEXATION OF DOUGLAS BEACH
The Village Attorney requested more time to check the petition.
Mayor Larson by executive order continued the hearing until May /2, 1960 at
8:00 P24. ~at the Island Park Hall, Mound, Minnesota. The date was announced
twice.
LIQUOR BILLS
A liquor bill from Ed Phillips for $194.88 was presented, f~om the Island Park
Liquor Store.
Batdorf moved and Orn seconded a motion.
BE IT MOVED the liquor bill ~om~EdliPkitlips for $194.88 be paid where funds
are a~ailable. The vote was unanimously in favor. So carried.
PETITION FOR BEER LICENSE
a petition for a 3.2 On and Off Sale Beer License for Idor E. Lawson was presented.
The Council agreed to consider the petition as presented. A1 Quello was the
spokesman for the petitioners.
Speaking for the petition were:. Hank Nieses, Mrs. Jack B~bler, Jack Babler,
Fred Bethke, Ralph Waudby, and several others not identified.

BE IT MOVED, the Village Council of the Village of Mound accept another applicmtion
for a On and Off Sale 3.2 Beer License for Mr. Idor E. Lawson.
Note: A1 Quello ~ill pay for the running of a notice for hearing if application
is allowed.
The vote was Trustees Om, Pfeifer, ~d Batdor~ - Aye; Mayor Larson AyeS Trustee
Petersen, Nay.

The M~nager was instructed to notify Walter P. Bradley for the oppenents ~nd
A1 Quello for the proponents, of the date set for the rehearing. Each man
is charged to notify his group and no other individual notices need be given.
PIAT PP~SE~TATION -HARRISON SHORES
Cappy Jones discussed the proposed plat of Harrison Shores ~ith the Council.
FIRE ZONE CLASSIFICATION
Petersen moved and Pfeifer seconded a motion.
BE IT MOVED, the Village Council of the Village of Mound notify the Fire
Underwriters, we accept the classification of Class 7 for orginal Mound~
and Class ~ for the Island Park area of Mound.
· The vote was unanimously in favor. So carried.
The Manager was instructed to inform the FireUnderwriters Assn. of this action
by letter.
Mr. Thomas H. Walters appeared to duscuss the Mound Fire Departments.
ASSESSOR~for 1960
A letter applying for the assessor position by Lawrence Brakke was read.
P&chard Ritchie to do the Island Park assessing.
The Mayor instructed the clerk to put the matter of an assessor first on the
agenda for the meeting of Tuesday, May 3, 1960.
