1964-06-16/O5 MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF JUNE 16, 1964 at 8:00 P. M. At the Mound Fire Station Present were: Mayor R. C. Koehn, Trustees William N. Gordon Batdorf and LeRoy Heikkila; Attorney Ray Ploetz, Schoell, William McCombs and Clarence Leer Johnson, Del Pfeifer, Engineers William REZONING REQUEST IN LAFAYETTE PARK Slyvia Odgren and Her mother, Emma Odgren appeared to request the rezoning of their property from commercial to residential. A petition was presented, the attorney stated the petition was not sufficient; the council referred them to the Planning Commission to have the request go thru the regular channels. REQUEST FOR WATER ON FERN STREET Attorney stated the petition to be sufficient and legal Heikkila moved and Batdorf seconded a motion RESOLUTION 64-142 RESOLUTION DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT (Fern Street Water) Roll Call Vote Heikkila Aye Batdorf Aye Pfeifer Aye John s on Ay e Koehn Aye So carried and approved AVALON PARK ASSN. Charles Hartman was the spokesman for a group of Association members; Mrs. Lyckholm, Mr. Lyckholm, C1yle Case and Mrs. Case. They were complaining about the erection of a fence on the neighbors property that was contrary to their use of the property. The matter was discussion, no action. ALCM]KNDMENT TO SPRING PARK-MOUND CONTRACT Batdorf moved and Pfeifer seconded a motion RESOLUTION 64- 143 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT SUPPLEMENTAL TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN MOUND AND SPRING PARK FOR FURNISHING AND USE OF SEWAGE DISPOSAL AND TRANSPORT FACILITIES Roll Call Vote Heikkila Aye Batdorf Aye Pfeifer Aye Johns on Aye Koehn Aye So carried and approved The Mound Village Attorney was directed to get together with the attorneys from Spring Park, Minnetrista and School District 277 and iron out all the problems in the contract. BEER LICENSE FOR MOHAWK JAYCEES Pfeifer moved and Johnson seconded a motion BE IT MOVED, a one day 3.2 On Sale Beer License be granted to the Mohawk Jaycees in conjunction with their Street Dance of July 24, 1964. The vo~e was unanimously in favor, so carried and granted. KOEHLERS SECOND ADDITION Johnson moved and Heikkila Seconded a motion RESOLUTION 64- 144 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PURCHASE OF LAND (Koehler's Second Addition Street} Roll Call Vote He ikkila Aye Batdorf Aye Pfeifer Aye Johnson Aye Koehn Aye So carried and resolved DRAINAGE IN PARADISE SQUARE The engineer presented his report of drainage in Paradise Square, stating the drainage is adequate and the only problem was caused by the sewer construction. The Manager was instructed to advise Mrs. Daniels of the councils decision to accept the engineers report. DOC~ PERMIT Batdorf moved and Johnson seconded a motion BE IT MOVED, the dock and Slip permit of LeRoy Heikkila be granted. Amercian Legion Post #398 to renew their Club License for the year 1964-65 Johnson moved and Pfeifer seconded the motion BE IT MOVED, a Club License be granted to the Mtka. American Legion Post #398 fDr the year 1964-65. The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried and granted. SEWER PLANT RAILING The matter of railing around certain tanks at the sewer plant were discussed. Batdorf moved and Johnson aeconded a motion to adjourn until the adjourned meeting of June 23, 1964 at 8:00 P.M. at the Mound Fire Station. The vote was unanimously in favor so carried and adjourned.
