Present were: Mayor R. C. Koehn, Trustees Del Pfeifer, Wm. N. Johnson, Gordon
Batdorf; Engineer William McCombs, LeRoy Winner and Manager Leonard Kopp,
Attorney Ray Ploetz.
HEARING ON HICKORY PLACE
The hearing is continued to January 12, 1965 at 8:00 P.M. st the Mound Fire
Station.
LOT A - ARDEN
Roger Reed appeared with H. Conkey, as his counsel in favor of his petition
Donald Irvine was spokesman for the opposition, also present were Mr. ImFave,
Ann Irvine, Mrs. Mary Irvine, Jan Irvine and Mr. Wilson.
Johnson moved and Batdorf seconded a motion
BE IT MOVED, the request of H. Conkey to split Lot A Arden be denied.
was unanimously in favor so carried and denied.
The vote
P. W. Uppgaard withdrew his request for rezoning.

Highlands
The vote was Pfeifer, Bstdorf and Koehn Aye - Johnson abstain - vote carried
Mohawk Jaycees - STREET NUMBERING
J~mes Reagen appeared and explained the system they had devised to renumber and
rename the streets. All lanes to run north and south and all roads to run
east and west. Numbers to start at Highway 15 and Ferndale Road with 0 - at
Delano it would be 9600 and 4800 west of th~ Seton Bridge - with 800 numbers
per mile - 100 numbers per 660 ft - I number for each 6 ft. - Highway 15
would become Shoreline Blvd.
The council was poll~ed on their preliminary acceptance of this proposal -
the vote was unanimously in favor.
CATHOLIC CHURCH PARSONAGE
The parsonage is in Zone I - Fire Zone and the wood used in construction does not
comply with specifications. The Building Inspector recommends a variance be allowed.
Batdorf moved and Pfeifer seconded a motion
BE IT MOVED, a variance be allowed in the present construction of the parsonage
of the Catholic Church by allowing all wood to be sprayed with a
fire retardent paint - Government Spec. #T.T. - P - 26 A for only
the construction now installed - all other lumber to be treated
lumber as the code specifies.
'~he vote was unanimously in favor, so carried.
John Bosma of Precinct #4 appeared and complained to the Council of having to
cast his vote in a beer tavern. The council stated it was their plan to change
the place of voting to the new apartment building if the space was available.
Mr. MacNarnara and neighbors appeared and requested the sewer be out into over
private property. The matter was discussed. The cou cil was Doll ed and ~elt
the project would be advantageous if necessary easements were available.
