1968-05-28MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING OF MAY 28, 1968 7:30 P.M. at the Island Park Hall PRESENT: Mayor Fenstad, Councilmen Andreasen, Regan, Schmidt and Swenson, Attorney Pearson and Village Manager Kopp MINUTES Regan moved, Andreasen seconded and it was unanimously carried to accept the minutes of May 14th as read. Regan moved, Swenson seconded and it was unanimously carried to accept the minutes of May 21st as read. ~ STREET LIGHTS This was carried over from last meeting because the full council was not present. Up to this time no midblock lights have been authorized. Until all street corners have lights it has been the feeling of previous councils that mid-block lights should be withheld. Due to severe terrain problems as recognized by this council, Andreasen moved and Schmidt seconded the motion: RESOLUTION 68-111 Roll Call Vote Andreasen Aye Regan Abstain Schmidt Aye Swenson Aye Fenstad Aye So resolved. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REPLACEMENT OF LIGHTS AND INSTALLATION OF NEW LIGHTS CONTROLS FOR PUMPS l, 3 and 4 and Elevated Tank Regan moved and Andreasen seconded the motion RESOLUTION 68- ll2 RESOLUTION MODIFYING RESOLUTION 68-110 Roll Call Vote Andreasen Aye Regan Aye Schmidt Aye Swenson Aye Fenstad Aye So resolved. LIQUOR STORE - Extending hours at the Isl~And Park Store to ten o'clock. Tabled for further study. FRONT END LOADER Discussed but tabled. Richard Gilmore of Napco Industries was present and volunteered to bring information on a machine they have. BILLS Regan moved, Schmidt seconded, and it was uD~nimously carried to pay the follow- lng bills where funds are available: Stewart Perry as attorney for Oswin Pflug and Lily Pflug from 64-65 Sinking Fund $150.00 James Richardson Tuxedo Road ~Lud Water Construction Fund General ~uud $5o.oo 25.oo 25.oo 100.00 And to ratify the following: Minnesota League of Municipalities (Convention Expense) from Administration Fund 54.oo LOST LAKE Mr. Kopp reported that the Water Shed District has basically accepted the Lost Lake plan as presented; however, there seems to be a little controversy about a 200-foot green strip around the edge and restricting building on Lots 16 and 17. The Council indicated they wished to have our engineer continue working toward allowing construction on all properties that people are taxed for and at the same time maintain a green strip around the dredged lake area ranging from 50 to 200 feet depending on the land needed for building. Andreasen moved, Regan seconded, and it was unanimously carried to adjourn. Mayor
