RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PHEPAHATION OF
PLANS - Shoreline Blvd Sidewalk Project 69-23
(Five foot sidewalk of concrete,.~ lights, power poles,
fire hydrants and signs on the side next to private
property, and sidewalk to abut a concrete curb on the
street side; sidewalk to run from Belmont to Fairview
on the north side and Belmont to Hidden Vale on the
south side.)
~oved and Andreasen seconded a motion
VED, by the Village Council of the Village of Mound that poles be put on the
space between the sidewalk and private property to protect both poles
and vehicular traffic.1
was unanimously in favor, so carried.
Enginee~ Mills reported to the council that the County told him they planned to close
the 8et6n Bridge and construct a 42 foot side bridge in its stead; no by-pass was
planned. They w~ll place a 42 ?oot opening on Hidden Vale to allow for correct
placement of road, at no cost to the Village.
On the apartment site on Wilshire and Tuxedo they have requested a storm sewer on
private property that will be directed into the County Storm Sewer.
Swenson moved and Andreasen seconded a motion
BE IT MOVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Mound that the staff be directed
to inform the County that the Mound Council is opposed to the closing of the
Seton bidge without a by-pass being constructed to a/low at least one lane
of traffic to pass.
The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried.
VACATION OF RESTHAVEN AND WILDHURST HEARING
The Engineer recommends vacation for the purpose of traffic, but warns that no vacation
can be made if public utilities are now on or under the ~treet in question.~ Mr. and
Mrs Roberts appeared in support of petition to vacate, Mrs Erps wnted to know who would
pay for the up-dating of a torrens title to include such vacated road and how much land
would she gain? The attorney said it would not have to be added to torrens title and
the actual amount of land was not certain. The attor ney also stated the County would
not change any maps without a detailed survey.
Andreasen moved and Schmidt seconded the motion
BE IT MOVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Mound that the matter of
the vacation of Wildhurst and Resthaven be continuted until the
meeting of September loth, 1969.
The vote was unanimously in favor, so carried.
