Mr. Beck reported on the convention fo Municipal Liquor Store manmgers in Minneapolis, February 15. Moved b-y Streater, seconded by Storks that membership in League of Towns and Municipalities be continued. Moved by Storke, seconded by Swens9n that Inverness Road from the so-called Kxng Tut cottage back to where it meets Tuxedo Road be ordered closed. Carried. Moved by Swenson, secvnded by Streater that A1 Boll be authorized to obtain liability insurance on fire truck. Carried. Monthly report of manager of liquor store given by Mr. Beck. Guy F. Streater offered the folle~ng re~olution and moved its adoption:. WHEREAS~ The vill~ge council of the village of Island Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota, has rrceived from the cvunty auditor of Bennspin County, Minnesota, a Aist Of lands in said village which became the property of the State of Minnesota under the provisions of law declaring the forfeiture of ~o the State for non-payment of taxes, which said list hms been designated as List 293-¢. February a~. 194~, and WHEREAS~ each parcel of land described in said list ha~ heretofore been classified by the Board of County ¢c~tmiseloners of Hennepin County, Minnesota, as non-c~nserv&tmon land and the sale thereof has heretofore been authorized by said ~oara of County Oommiesionere~ NOW THEREFOEE~ be it resolved by said Village C~uncil, acting pureuamt to Minnesota Statutes for 1945, Section ~82.0~, that the said classificatxon by said Board of County Cmmmisaloners of each p&rcel of land described xn said list as non-conservation land be and the same is here- by approved and ~hat th~ sale of each such parcel of land be and the same is hereby app reved.
