Mrs. Caughran 6f the Suburban Relief Board of rural Hennepin County ex- plained to the council the work ana procedure of the relief board. Moved by Swenson, seconded by Farnham that the village join the Suburban Hennepin County Relief Board - Carried. The relief cases of Grace M. Moore and Mrs. Murray Fisher were referred to Mrs. Caughran. Moved by Swenson, seconded by Storks that the janitor of the village hall be paid $25.00 per month. Carried. Moved by Streator, seconded by Swenson that the council adopt an ordinance establishing a village planning commission. Carried by unanimous vote . Moved by Streator, seconded by Storks that Joe Gamey be granted a permit to keep rabbits. Carried. Moved by Streator, seconded by Storks that Al Boll be authorized to pur- chase paint for painting the fire -hall. Carried. The meeting recessed until two weeks later. Carried. Melting recessed until April 25. MEETIIQG OF APRIL 25 All members present. Moved by Storks, seconded by Streator, that a park committee of three momters be set up by the council for 1949 and a transfer of $250 be made from liquor fund to finance the projects of the above board. Carried. ( A list of five candidates for tris board was filed with the clerk.) Moved by Swenson, seconded by Streator, that the village rent one Case tractor with universal loader and power, mower attached, from the Georg* T. Rand Company at a monthly rental of $175 per month. Carried. County Commissioner Ainswp4'and highway engineer Zimmerman were present a and reviewed with the Council the possiblility of Hennepin County taking over fro¢ the village the improvement and maintenance of Tuxedo Road as a county road. I *_The meeting adjourned with the council members agreeing to make an inspection tour of 'the village roads in order to determine what road projects should be undertaken this year.
