Moved by Swenson, seconded by Stork* that application df the Pembroke Improvement Association for Non - intoxicating liquor licence for June 25- June 26 to twelve midnight of the 26th be granted. Carried. Moved by Streator, seconded by S4er(« , that the petty cash fund at the liquor store be increased to $75.00. Carried. Moved by Storks, seconded by Swenson, that permit be granted to Edward W. Beddow to raise rabbits. Carried. Moved by Farnham, seconded by Streator, that $100.00) be appropriated for sending two delegates to Firemen's Convention, June. 13, 14, and 15. Carried. Moved by Swenson, seconded by Storks, that the following resolution be adoptedt. RESOLVED; THAT Pursuant to discussions between the Village Council of Island Park, Minnesota, Commissioner Earl Ainsworth, and L. E. Zimmeman, County Engineer, it is hereby agreed that Hennepin County take over the loop in Island Park consisting of Tuxedo Road down to Schoening's Store and thence across to the westerly side of Island Park and thence back up to County Road No. 7, following a mutually acceptable rout*. The Village of Island Park agrees to take over County Road No. 125, from Woolnaughre Corner to Wychwood Corner, as a Village Street, such transfer to take place at such time as the village has procured necessary right of way and when the County Board has approved the proposal. The Village Council expresses herewith its intention to pro- ceed as rapidly as possible with its portion of this agreement. It is further understood that Hennepin County will complete presently planned improvements to County Road No. 125 and that the road will be in good condition when turned over to the village. Farnham (Yea) Moved by Swenson, seconded by Storks, that the rent for the village hall, after July 1, should be $15.00. Carried. Moved by Swenson, seconded by Streator, that the following be appointed to the Planning Commission: John Harris- -for 1949 Elwin Qveson -- 1949 -1950 Kenneth Williams -- -1949, 1950, 1951 James Middleton -- -1949, 1950, 1951, 1952 Carried. Moved by Swenson, seconded by Storks, that Farnham act as clerk and represent the village council on the commission. Carried. The board of review met at 8:00 P. M. Called to order by Mayor Stageberg. Members present: Streator, Swenson, Farnham. Supervisor Roy Haag and assessor Claire Franks mat with the Council. Instructions were given by Mr. Haag and Mr. Franks reported that the assessment books would be presented to the board June 27. Jun 2 The board met with all members present as a board of review. The books of the assessor were accepted and the board of review as such adjourned. The Council continued in session as a spacial meeting. Moved by Streator, seconded by Storks, that the village hall be free oor � - the use of the Upper Tonka Council from 3:00 P. M. to 11:00 P. A, Tuesdays for the next seven weeks. Carried. Mrs. Caughran of the Suburban County Relief Board met with the council and discussed relief problems. Adjournment.
