Carried. Mrs. Caughran was present and discussed relief problems with the council. Moved by Swenson, sounded by Storks, that relief not to exceed $25.00 be granted to Mrs. McMillan. Carried. Moved by Streator, seconded by Storks, that the application of Ken Woods for sale of cigarettes - -July to January 1 - -be granted. Carried. Moved by Swenson, seconded by Storks, that a previous motion setting the hall rent at $15.00 be rescinded. Carried. Moved by Swenson that the following resolution be adopted with the further specification that three more 4000 -lumen lamps be added to the pro- ject covered by the resolution, Seconded by Storks. RESOLVED That the Village Council of the Village of ISLAND PARK, Hennepin County, Minnesota, hereby accepts the offer of the NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY, a Minnesota corporation, to furnish illft ination for street lighting produced by: 11 - 10,000 Lumen Lamps 28 - 4,000 Lumen Lamps all located or to be located in said Village, and hereby approves all rates, terms, conditions, and specifications contained in the proposed foam of Overhead Street Lighting Contract made a part of the offer of said Company, and the President of the Village Council and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the aforesaid Con- tract for and in the name of the Village and to affix the corporate seal thereto. All members voted = on the question of adopting the above resolution. Moved by Streator, seconded by Swenson, that the Island Park Community Church be authorized to lower the STOP signs near the church on Sundays 9:00 to 12:00 A. M. Carried. Adjournment to July 25.
