MINUTES OF THE MOUND VILLAGE COUNCIL IN REGULAR SESSION on Feb. 7, 1~8. Those present at this meeting were: President Huff, Treasurer W. N. A. Eoehler, Trustees Tuff, Yost, and Glewwe, and Alwin as Recorder. Upon reading ~he minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 1926, and those of the two Special Meetings of JanNary 18th and 23rd, it was moved by ar Yost and seconded by Tuff that the whole be approved and accepted as read. This motion was carried. Next in the order of business was a report in detail by Mr. 0. A. Huff Of services performed and expenses entailed to the village in connection with the Burnette family. To this itemized report was also attached the personal check of Mr. Huff in the sum of $~,o8 returning to the village treasury the residue of $70.~0 which had been appropriated to this pur- Pose. This report was approved upon motion of Mr. Yost, Mr. Tuff second- ing, and, such motion being unanimously carried, the report was ordered filed. Present at this meeting, also, was Mr. Joseph Krause, representing the Mound Hardware Company, who, in response to an inquiry by the clerk, now personally presented his proposition in connection with the sale to the village of incandescent lamps of 1~0 watt and 250 watt capacity for street illumination, The prices quoted on these lamps was ~5~ for the lOC-watt and $1e60 for the 25C-watt with a discount of 10% Upon the presentation of Mr. Krause's proposition, the clerk was instructed to place an order with Mr. Krause for a case of 6~ lOC-watt lamps and a case of 24 2~O-watt lamps. It was agreed that Mr. Krause was to be paid cash upon delivery. Among communications presented at this time there was as follows: A refund to the village with check to cover in the sum of made by the State Sank of Mound to correct a charge made in error. A letter from the Wehr Gompany, Milwaukee, promising further informa- tion in connection with a grader attachment for the Fordson Receipts bearing the signature of Mr. ~. H. A. Koehler, village treasurer, and totaling in the stun of $4527.O3, which constitutes the village tax apportionment for the November, 1927, settlement, were presented to the council. This the firemen failed to do at the time of the Conpton fire MINUTES of the Proceedings of the Village Council of the Village of ................................. in the County of ....................................... and State of Minnesota, including all accounts audited by said Council. at--ring l~ark, The recorder was directed to communicate with the Mound Volunteer Fire Department to this effect. .~Upon motion by Yost, Mr. Tuff supporting, it was recommended that village council accept the bond of W. ~.A. Xoehler in the sum of ~6OuO,UO and that of LeRoya Vincent Alwin in the sum of $500.00. A fire insurance policy covering the Mound ~ire Truck and made o~t ~ the basis of a $~O0.UO valuation was also presented and accepted upon motion of Mr. Tuff, Mr. Glewwe supporting. In 2his connection the matter of insurance protection for other equipment was discussed and the recorder was directed to communicate with ~he secretary of the Fire Depar~ent for the purpose of getting a list of the equipment so that total valuation might be determined and insurance coverage gotten accordingly. Upon motion by mr. Tuff, ~r. Glewwe supporting, the recorder was directed to communicate with Robert O'~onnel, Justice of the Peace of Mound, to urge a report from him covering oases tried and financial concerns in connection with his office. The matter of salaries was brought up for discussion - salaries of village officials - but was la~d over for the next meeting. Upon motion by Mr. Tuff, Gle.w~e supporting, the village recorder was directed to write for information concerning danger signals for railroad and road crossings, the same to be of the luminous, flash character.
