It was now recommended that the clerk poet notices of the
~aucus at thre~ separate strategic points throughout the village -
and with the date and time est ae on Tuesday, November l~th, 19~8,
at 8 o'clock P. M.A the ~aucus to convene in the Council Chamber
under MoUnd State Sank.
Upon suggestion by the Village Recorder, the council was agreed
that the cler~ w~ite to the Board of gounty ~ommtgsl~ners petitlon-
ing for a supply of snow fences to guard exposed places along
the village streets durin~ the oo~mlng winter, even though such
request should have been entered last spring.
Trustee C. L. Tuff now presented a request on behalf of the
School Board asking that the Village snowplow keep open Minnitrista
.Road for bu~ service to children livin~ along that street. How-
ever, because of the narrowness, roughness in spots, and windins
character of this road and the inability of the snowplow to reverse
itc course upon it, the Village ~ouncil did not deem it advisable
to send the snowplow into this side street.
Upon the egll~itation of Trustee C. L; Tuff, the Village
Recorder wac asked to communication with the G~eat Northe~nR. R.
~o. for the purpose of prevailing upo~ the latter to provide a
half'carload of cinders for the crossing at ~eton. The motion
being Mr. Tuff's, Mr. ~lewwe seconded it. This motion was carried.
In order to e~power the Village Recorder to draw a warrant
to cover a bill for services not yet entered by Mr. Adam Pain%er
in connection with grading and a~r~&oing an extension of :.~huroh
Street, Mr. Yost made the motion that the ~ainter bill be paid
upon presentation. This motion was seconded by Mr. Glewwe and
~arried.
~o serve on the Board of Election for the Village ~lection on
~ec~mber 4th of this'year, MaYor Huff now reappointed the Board
ofS" lection forths General ~leotion of November 6th to serve also
for the vtllage~ compulsory changes and appointmentsto be left
to the Village Recorder.
