1974-02-1213. MINUTES OF THE COUNCIL MEETING OF FEBRUARY 12, 197[~ st the New Mound City Offices 8:00 P.M. - 53~1 Maywood Road, Mound, Mn. Present were: Mayor Bonald Ulrick, Councilmen Orval Fenstad, Cklair Hasse, Frank Philbrook and Gordon Swenson, City Manager Leonard L. Kopp, City Attorney Curtis Pearson. The American Legion Post #398 presented the City with an American flag and a State of Minnesota flag, representing the Post were Commander Charles Jackson, Lou Oberdeck and Ed Behmler. The Mayor accepted the gift for the people of Mound. The Minutes of the January 22, 197~ meeting were presented. Swenson moved and Fenstad seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the January 22, 197~ meeting as presented. The vote was unanimously in favor. COMMENDING REXAL~IN Ulrick moved and Hasse seconded a motion RESOLUTION 7~-3~ RKSOLUTION COMMENDLNG LE ROY (REX) ALWIN FOR SERVICES ON THE PARKCOMMISSION Mr. Alwin was present and was personally given a copy of the resolution signed by the Mayor and the ~ouncil. The vote was unanimously in favor. RESOLUTION GRANTING FRONT YARI] VARIANCE (Lots 15, 16, Block Shirley Hills Unit B - 10 foot variance) The vote was unanimously in favor Herman Quass JLot~ 2, 26, 27 and 28, Block 2, ~ychwood Subdivision of Land requested The Plannina Commission denied the division on the grounds that ordinance called for more than the'20 £OOt street access proposed~ Mr. Ouass appeared to appeal the Planning Commission denial. Fenstad moved and Swenson seconded a motion RESOLUTION 72-38 RESOLUTION DENYING SUBDIVISION OF PROPERTY (Lots 2, 26, 27, and 28, Block 2, Wychwood) The vote was unanimously in favor Herbert J. Lots 25, 26, 27 and half of 28, Block 6, Pembroke Front Yard Variance requested Swenson moved and Hasse seconded a motion to table this ~mtter until the proper legal documents are on file in the City Office. The vote was unanimously in favor. COMMENTS AND SUCK~ESTIONS BY CITIF~E~ PRESENT A chorus of approval for the new building, with the adjective 'fantastic' the most voiced. Jeanette Gellman did not like the approach road or the parking facilities.
