1974-10-29io3 MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 29, 197~ at 8:00 P.M. AT THE CITY OFFICES - ~31~1 maywood Road, Mound, Mn. Present were: Mayor Donald Ulrick, Councilmen Orval Fenstad, Cklair Hasse, Frank Philbrook and Gordon Swenson; Manager Leonard Kopp. Park Commission mambers were present at the invitation of the City Council. The Mayor called to order the reconvencd meeting of October 22, M~UTES The minutes of the City Council meeting of October 22, 197h were presented for consider- ation. Swenson moved and Hasse seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the October 22, 197~ meetin9 as presented. The vote was unanimously in favor. So carried and accepted. CHANGE ORI1ERFOR PROJECT Greg Franke explained the change order and the process of the deduct of f~,980.00. Ulrick moved and Swenson seconded a motion RESOLUTION 7h-332 RESOLUTION NOT ACCEPTING A CHANGE ORDER (Project 7~-~ Bellaire Lane and Elm Road Stom Sewer) The vote was unanimously in favor DOCK ORDINANCE The Mayor read the Dock Ordinance as proposed and the council and the Park Commission mambers headed by A1 Fratzke head of the Dock Ordinance committee exchanged questions and sug§estions section by section. The proposed ordinance will be given to the attorney for his suggestions and revisions. BUILDING INSPECTORS REPORT ON NUISANCES The Inspector made his report to the council; the council asked for a progress report at the meeting of November 26, 197~. ELECTION BOOTHS ETC. The City of Minnetrista has offered to purchase certain surplus election booths and ballot boxes. Philbrook moved and Hasse seconded a motion RESOLUTION 7h-33h RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF SURPLUS VOTING BOOTHS AND ELECTIO~ EQUIPMENT The vote was unanimously in favor. LIQUOR ANTI TRUST CA%E - discussed - no action RELOCATING OLD FIRE SIREN Councilman Swenson said that the motor on the siren should be overhauled be£ore it was installed in the new location. Fenstad moved and Hasse seconded a motion RESOLUTION 7~-33~ RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID OF ELECTRIC SERVICE CO TO RELOCATE FIRE SIREN FROM AUDITORS ROAD TO VICINITY OF THE ISLAND PARK HALL. The vote was unanimously in favor. COMMENTS AND SUCK~ESTIONS BY CITIZENS PRESENT - no one answered the invitation. DENBIGH WATF~R - PFLUG Fenstad moved and Hasse seconded a motion RESOLUTION 7h-336 RESOLUTION DIRBCTING THAT NO ASSBSSMKNTS BE MADE CE LOT 1, BLOCK 1~ AVRL~E OR LOT 93 PHELPS ISLAND PARK FIRST DIVISICE OF PROJECT ?h-48 DENBIGH ROAD WATER AND THAT WHEN THE PROJECT IS FINISHED THESE LOTS WILL BE RESTORED TO THEIR ORGINAL STATB. The vote was unanimously in favor. LMCD Commercial Dock Ordinance Proposal was discussed Councilman Fenstad requested a resume of speedin9 tickets in 90 days. Swenson moved and Philbrook seconded a motion to adjourn until the meetin9 of November 12, 1972.
