Melting was called to order in due form by President Nuf~. · Members present were Pres, Huff, Coun=il~en Test, Tuff, and outgoing. Clerk, W. F. Nagel, add new incombent for Clerk, L. V. Alwin. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and finacial report by Olerk Nagel concluding the fiscal year 1~?. The whole was approv.d upon motion by Councilman Test and seconded by H. Glewwe. No Treasurer's report was submitted due to the absence of Treasurer W, H. A. Eoehler, Of committees reporting on past business, Pres. Huff, Chairman of the Committee for the Bernnette family reported incompletely because of.bills not yet received at the time of the meeting. ~ N~:~ommittee Appointments: Pres. Huff appointed the following committees for the ensuing year: Roa~ Committee; Test, chairman, Tuff, committeeman. Sidewalk Committee, H.Glewwe, chairman, L. E Alwi~, committeeman. ' The Council received the report of Justice J. A. Robinson, who reported no criminal ca~es, all eases being of a civil na'ture. The report was read, approved, and ordered filed upon motion of Coun. Yost, uff second~ng.:~ The Council received the application cftC. Wendberg to do village street and road work and it was moved by Coun. Tuff, Glewwe seconding, that application be laid upon the table pending applicants personal appearance before the Village Council. ~ Of other communications there were the following: A communication from the Board of Education of Independent Consolidated School District No. ~5 asking that action with regard to the vacating of part of School Street and the extending of Church Street be withheld until after the Board's ~pril,1928, meeting. This request was unanimously granted. A communication in the form of a resolution from the hand of Philip Fay' Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church of Mound requesting a survey of the channel so that the church property might be definitely recorded. The council found that the channel and adjacent property lines had been surveyed over a year ago and, if failing to find this matter on record, the church was asked to refer the matter to C. H. Tuff, GleWWe ~econdlng, it was reeommende~ ~ that She Vi~laSe Council, on behalf of the village, extend a vote of thanks to the ~ound ~oman's Club for this civic interest in placing a Ohristmae tree in the village centre. Motion was unanimously carried. a motion was made by Ooun Tuff and seconded by Court. Yost that the Village ~lerk ascertain as to the economical purchase of durable and dependable lO0 watt lamps for village street illumination. · :J '~" Upon motion by $oun. Huff appointed Councilmen Yost and $1ewwe as a committee to investigate the'matter of a new snowplow, mleo to confer with the ~chool Board upon this matter, and to speak to A. Boch ~ith respect to the use of his truck as power for a plow to clear the village streets and roads of snow. Upon motion by Yost, seconded by Glewwe, the meeting was duly adjourned. Signed
