Opening this meeting sharply at 8 P. M. in the presence of ali
members of the council, Mayor Krause brought to the council's atten-
tion the cla~im ~of M. V. KJalgren, a resident along Halste~.d Road,
asking Ghat his minimum for domestic light and power be made to
conform .downwardly with that of other residents of the village.
It was hereupon suggested that the matter be laid upon the table
pending such time when a conference, covering the matter, might be
h~'d with ". G. Ross, the Power gompany's local manager. The Recorder
wa's asked to communicate this situation to /~r. KJalgren.
The Village Recorder now brought, forth and read the compounded
f.orm'of a ~esolutlon to Vote Bond~ which was so worded as to leave
t~e v~llage coUnciifree to act aqcordi~g to its 'own best Judgement
iD th~ .mat~er ~ ~ndin~ t~e villaEe for bhg purpose of financing the
pB~ch~se'of fire equipment and enablin~ 'the '[~irement of the village~

At a regylar meeting of bhe vfll'~ge council of the village
of Mound, held on the 5th day of March, 1~9, it was, on motion,
resolved, that the said village of Mound, in the county of
Mennepin, and State of Minnesota, may - on the basis of a
report submitted in public meeting by a citizen's committee
on gire Equipment and Bonded Indebtedness and on the basis
of Zhe ~ndings of'the council of said village - purchase
such fire equipment and convert such warrant indebtedness
as ~lll J'Oint!~ ,be nQ,g~ea~er than ten-thousand
dollars; for which purposes the said village may issue and
negotiate its bond therefore and that such propositions shall
be submitted to the electors of said village at the next
Special Election to,be hel~ on the Twenty-Sixth Day of March,
1~9.

~t was now moved by Trustee Most and seconded by Pearson'that
the council accept the contract re-affirming the present street
lights and village power rates already part of the understanding
between this village and the Ynterstate Power Co, but in which the
expense of supplying lamps was henceforth tomfall upon the Power Co.
To this ~e~ised contract the Mayor and the Village Reoerder
were ko affix their signatures upon presentation.
It was further moved by MOst and seconded by Glewwe that the
Bond Election set for March 26th begin with the opening of the
polls at 12 noon and end with their closing at 8 P. M. This
motion was carried.
· It was now suggested that the Mayor make appointments for
Clerks and Judges of Election, to sewve at the polls on March
~gth, soon enough so that their names might appear in two issues
of the ~in~etonka Pilot prior to the date of election.

moved by Trustee Most and seconded by Trustee Pearson that the
meeting of the council adjourn. This motion was carried.
