Pursuant to due call _s~nd notice thereof, a special meeting of the Mound Village Council was held Monday evening, September 10, 19S4 Meeting called to order at 8:15 P.'M. by President, J. O. Krause Trusteed present : ¥os%, Broeoker%, Tuff and Horton. President stated the meeting was called for the purpose of con- sidering the ext&nsion of the Water Mains in the F4ghlands and also in Shl.rley Hills, and such other business as may c6me before it. The following resolution was read: WHEREAS Petitions for the extension of Water Mains, in the Highlands and Shirley Hills (Unit B) have been presented to the ¥~llage at the regular meeting held September 4, 1954, AND ~ WHEREAS the Village $ouncil is of the Opinion that the ex.tensiOns are necessary and a benefit to the owners of the property, ~ ...... THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Clerk advertise Notice of Hearing in the Minnetonka Pilot, that a special meeting of the Village Council will be held September 28, 1934, at 8:00 P.M. to give all property owners an opportunity, whose property may be assessed, located on the following named streets, for the laying of Water Mains, Namely: On Highlands Avenue, beginning with Lot one, Block One, to Lot Nineteen, Block One, thence South and South- westerly on Greene Blvd. to Lot Seventeen, Block Te$, thence South on Ridgeway Avenue to Ca~man Avenue, thence Southwesterly to the West line of Lot Twenty-one, Block Six, all in the Highlands, in the Village of Mound. Shirley Hills, Unit B, beginning at the inter- section of the County Road and Edgewater Drive, thenceNortherly to the Southwesterly line of Lot Twenty, Block Five, thence Northeaster- ly to the Northeasterly line of Lot Twenty-seven, Block Five, also from Edgewater Drive, Easte~$y on Glen Avon Avenue, to the N~h- easterly line of Lot Four, Block Three. All,in Shirley Hills Unit B, in the Village of Mound; to appear and be heard for and against the proposed. Water Main improvement. Motion by Trustee Tuff, seconded by Broeckert, that the above Resolution be adopted as read. Yeas; Tuff, Broeckert, Yost and Horton. Nays; None. Resolution declared adopted. Motion by Broeckert, seconded by Horton, that the President and ~lerk be authorized to enter into a Water Agreement with W.H.A. Koehler. Roll Call, Yeas: Broeckert, Horton and Yost. Nays; Tuff. Motion Carried. Motion by Trustee Tuff, WHEREAS the contract for thw Water Tower and Tank with the Minneapolis Moline Implement Co. has been completed and final statement approved by the consulting engineers, and P.W.A. Resident Engineer, that the Village accept the same and the final statement of $2424.00 be paid. Motion seconded.by~ Trustee Yost. Yeas: Tuff, Yost, Broeckert and Horton. Nays: None. Motion carried. 264 ~otion by Trustee Yost, WHE~EAS the contract for the Pumping equipment, with J. C. Willson Co. has been completed, and final statement a~proved by the consulting Engineers, and P. W. A. Resident Engineer, that the Village accept same and the final statement of $?50.00 be paid. Notion seconded by Trustee Broeckert. Yeas: Yost, Broecke~t, Tuff and Horton. Nays: None. September 17, 1934. ~inutes of 8oecial Neeting of the NOund Village Council. pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting the Nound Village Council was held, Nonday E~ening, September 17,1934. Neeting called to order at 8:00 P.N. by President J. C. Krause. Trustees present: Yost, Broeckert, T~ff and Norton. The President stated meeting was called to open bids for gravel and oil as per notice printed in the Ninnetonka Pilot, September 8,1954. Bids for gravel were opened and in the opinion of the Council were found to be unsatisfactory. Thereupon Trustee Tuff made s~ motion to reject all bids for gravel and purchase surfacing material on open market. Hotion seconded by Trustee Yost. On Roll Call - Yeas: Tuff, Yost, Horton., Nays: Broeckert. ~otion carried. Notion by Horton, Seconded by Broeckert, that two hundred yards more o~ less of gravel 88 - 3~ be purchased from the Einnesota Sand and Gravel Co. at their pit for Fifty Cents per ton. Notion carried. Notion by Tuff, seconded by Broeckert, that grs~vel be delivered by H. J.~Kuskee and E. Peterson, from the ~innesota Sand and Gravel Co.'s pit at St. Louis Park. ~otion carried. Bids for Five Thousand Gallons of road oil were opened. Gaus Culligan - In car lots (8E80 gals.) F.0.B., Nound Heated and applied at .07188 as above 8000 gallons at .0888. J. W. Craig Compa~ny - approximately ~000 gallons road oil, heated and applied to be delivered as ordered at .07 per gallon. Notion by Broeckert, seconded by Tuff, that road oil be purchased from J. W. Crai~Company at $0.07 per gallon, ammunt approximately ~000 gallons. Eotion carried.
