1934-10-02266 MoUnd, Minnesota. October 2, 1934. Minutes of Meeting of Village Council of 'Village of Mound, Minnesota, held October 2, 1954. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village aouncil of the Village of Mound, Minnesota, was duly held in the Council Room in said Village on the 2d day of October, 1934, at 8 o'clock P. M. The following members were present: J.C. Krause, President; F. Yost, G. F. Broeckert, O. L. Tuff and H. I. Horton, and the following were absent: None. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved as read, also the minutes of the~.special meetings of September 10, September 17, and September 28, 1934, were read and approved as read. The matter of the Watermain extension in Shriley Hills, UnitB was discussed.and Trustee Yost offered the following resolution: RESOLVED that the petition of the property owners living in Shirley Hills Subdivision Unit B for Watermain extension be granted, as there were no objections offered at the public hearing, held September 2@, 1954. Motion to adopt said. resolution was seconded by Trustee Broeckert. On Roll 0all - Yeas: Yost,.Broeckert, Tuff and Horton. Nays: None. Motion carried. Trustee Yost thereupon introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATERMAIN IMPROVENENT NO. 2 OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUND. WHEREAS the Village (]ouncil of the Village of Mound has, pursuant to resolution fixing the time and place of meeting and notice duly given to all parties interested, heard and considered all~ objections and arguments for and against said improvement, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mound, that said improvement is necessary, and it is hereby determined to make a watermain improvement more particularly described as follows: Laying watermains and appurtenances required in connection therewith in Shirley Hills, Unit B, according to the plan~ and specifications thereof. , BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said improvement shall be known as "Watermain Improvement No. ~ of the Village of Mound." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the entire oosttof such improve- ment, including all incidental expense, shall be assessed against the property abutting upon the streets or alleys in which said watermains, appurtenances in. connection therewith, or service connections are laid, upon the basis of benefits to such property. -BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that plans and specifications therefor as heretofore made and filed with the clerk are hereby confirmed Mound, Minnesota, continued. Trustee Tuff then introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mound that the Council shall consider bids for the construction of  termain Improvement No. 2 at the regular meeting thereof to be Id November $, 19~4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice' to 'bidders shall be given by publication at least once in the official newspaper of' the Village of the following notice: NOTICE FOR BIDS. Notice is hereby, given that the Village Council of the Village of' Mound will meet on November 5, 1934 at eight o'clock P. M. at the Council Room in said Village for the purpose of opening and considering bids for the construction of Watermain Improvement No. 2 in said Village. Such work shall consist of (_~ ~d~gglng trenches and laying watermains therein and incidental work as more fully set forth in the plans and specifications therefor~ on file with the Clerk of said Village. Bids may be made on the Basis of the entire work or for any portion thereof. All bids shall be on the basis of cash payment for such work, and no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk accompanied by a certified check in the amOunt of at least $200. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all the terms and provisions of said notice are hereby adopted as though each thereof were separately set forth herein. AdoPted October 2~: 1934. Hound, Minnesota, ~'~ October 2, 1934 2~ The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Trustee Yost, and upon vote being taken thereof the following voted in favor thereof: Tuff, Yost, Broeckert and Horton; and following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly pas~ed and adopted, and the President being present, ~ffixed his signature thereto in approval thereof, and the Clerk was directed to publish the same in the official newspaper. Bills were read, and on motion by Broeckert, seconded by Yost, these bills were ordered paid and the Clerk directed to draw warrants for the same. Notion carried. The following motion by Tuff: That a Curfew ordinance be drawn up and published in the Minnetonka Pilot, and said ordinance take effect and be in force after its publication.
