1934-11-1627.4 ~inutes of Nesting of the Village Council of the Village of Nound, Ninnesota, Neld November 18, 1954. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof~ a special meeting of the Village Oounctl of the Village of Nound, Ninne~ota, was duly held at the Council Room in the basement of the State Bank of ~ Nound on Friday, November 18, 1954, at eight o 'clock P. N. The following members were present: Yost, Broeckert, Tuff and Horton, and the following were absent: J.O. Krause, Pres. Yost acted as president. The President of the Village. Oouncil announced that the meet- ing was open for the consideration of objections to the proposed.. assessment for Watermain Improvement No. E of said Village. The Clerk reported the'following persons had filed Written objections, which said objections affected the lots, pieces,.or~ parcels of land set opposite each name: Name Property None The following were then heard to present oral objections to said assessment: Name Property None. After due consideration of ss.id objections, Trustee Tuff introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND CONFIRNING A$SESSNENT FOR WATERNAIN INPROVENENT NO. ~ OF THE VILLAGE OF NOUND. BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Oouncil of the Village of Nound Ninnesota~ as follows: 1. The Clerk, with the assistance of the Engineer, has calculated the amount proper and necessary to be specially assessed for Water- main Improvement No. E against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land within the district affected thereby upon the basis of benefits, without regard to cash valuation, in accordance with the procisions of Section ~ of Chapter 4~.6 Laws 19~l. 2. Notice has been duly published as required by law that the Council would meet to hear and pass upon all obhections, if any, to amend said proposed assessment as might be necessary, and to adopt the same by resolution. S. Said proposed assessments have at all times since filing been open for public inspection, and an opportunity has been given to ~ll interested persons to present their objections, if any, to such proposed assessment. 4. The amount of particular assessments specified in the pro- Do.ed a~e~ment are oh~nge~ ~nd altered a~ £ollow~: None. 5. This CoUncil finds that each of the lots, pieces, or parcels of land enumerated in said proposed assessment was and is specially benefited by the construction of said Watermain Improvement No. Z in proportion to the amount in said proposed assessment set opposite the description of wach such lot, piece, or parcel of land,' respect- ively, and said amount so~set out is hereby levied against each of the respective lots, pieces, or parcels of land therein described. 6. Such proposed assessment is hereby affirmed, adopted, and con- firmed and the sums fixe~and namedin said proposed assessment are affirmed, adopted, and confirmed as the proper special assessments for each of said lot's, pieces or parcels of land respectively. Such assessments, together with interest accruing on the amount thereof at the rate of six per cent per annum from the date hereof to June l, 19~5, shall be a lien upon the property described there- in and all. thereof. The total amount' of' such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of ten years, thefirst thereof to be payable on or before June l, 19~5, and the ~ast to bepayable on or before June l, 1944, and all deferred payments shall bear. interest at the rate of six per cent per annum from June l, 19~5. 7. The Village Clerk shall, immediatSly after the adoption of this resolution, transmit a certified duplicate of this resolution and sai~ assessment to the Oounty Auditor of Nennepin Oounty, Minnesota, to be extended on the tax lists and to' be collected, accounted for, and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. 8. The owner of any lot, piece, or parcel of land assessed hereby may at any time pay the whole of such assessment or any installment thereof with~crued interest to June'following. The motion for the adoption of the foreginng resolution was duly seconded by Broeckert, and upon vote being taken thereon, the f.ollowing voted in favor thereof: Yost, ~Broeckert, Tuff, Horton, and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
